An exciting opportunity is now available for a Senior Manager role to lead Middle & Back Office operations, as well as Human Resources, General Affairs & IT matters, at one of the international firms based in Singapore.
In this role, you will oversee the Middle Office, Back Office, HRGA Office and IT Office, ensuring seamless management of all finance and accounting functions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all finance and accounting matters such as internal/external audit control, statutory and management reporting, budgeting, planning, forecasting. Additionally, you will provide financial advisory, including structured finance, M&A support, to counterparties. You will also be involved in HRGA and IT matters as a senior management, including payroll, policy making and IT infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Responsible for full spectrum of Accounts (AP/AR/GL/Intercompany transactions)
- Oversee MO & BO team of 4 headcounts.
- Oversee all statutory financial reporting to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Liaise with auditors to handle audit issues and review audited financial statements and XBRL (for Singapore entities) for filing.
- Liaise with tax agents and regulatory agents on tax and any other related matters.
- Assist in checking half-year and full-year result announcements and annual report.
- Review and updating of group accounting policies and procedures in line with change in business requirements and relevant FRS.
- Required to answer queries in Japanese from Japan head-quarter on accounting/financial reporting, audit and tax related matters.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Management Reporting & Analysis
- Review consolidated package compilation management report.
- Create OPEX Budget Package and basic data for budget package.
- Other ad-hoc management & analysis report.
Financial Advisory
- Relationship management with our customers and financial institutions.
- Provide advice on Structured Finance scheme in English and Japanese.
- Review loan agreement.
- Provide advice on M&A in English and Japanese.
Human Resource & General Affairs
- Oversee and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Manage GA related issues and sustain a positive and productive work environment.
Information Technology (IT)
- Oversee and manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Ensure data security and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum same level of knowledge for ACCA or Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Prior Audit experience will be an advantage.
- Prior Human resource experience.
- Good interpersonal and strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge in SAP system is highly preferred.
- Knowledge in Structured Finance and M&A.
- High proficiency in English language and Japanese language (JLPT Level N1 or ability to speak, read and write at business level) to communicate effectively through phone calls, emails and/or meetings with Japan HQ and counterparts.
- Independent and able to seek ways to improve individual and team efficiency.
