ABOUT THE ROLE
Become a vital part of our team as a Marketing & Business Development Officer, bringing expertise in improving market position and achieving financial growth, of the company, with understanding of marketing fundamentals. The role is responsible for, but not limited to, the internal and external marketing campaigns of Memphis, with a view to effectively communicating messages, liaising with stakeholders and building the brand of the organization. This is a full-time role based in Singapore.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and departments to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to achieve business targets.
- Create and manage marketing budgets and oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials (e.g., leaflets, posters, flyers) through various media platforms.
- Assist in generating social media awareness, particularly on LinkedIn, and develop marketing collaterals for business and department projects.
- Identify and place advertisements in traditional and online media, and arrange for effective distribution of marketing materials.
- Organize, attend, and develop special events; conduct market research through surveys and focus groups.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including client visits and pitch support, and establish brand presence in new markets.
- Communicate persuasively to manage stakeholder relationships and liaise with suppliers.
- Perform additional duties related to marketing and communication strategies as assigned by the Manager.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimally, Higher Nitec and above in social media & Web Development, Marketing Advertising, Public Relations, Journalism or its equivalent from a recognized institution
· Familiar with design software – Adobe, AI, Figma, Photoshop, & Graphtec
· Strong interest in development of new complex design and to learn more on the marine industry
· Networking, prospecting, public speaking and presentation skills
· Computer literate
· Strong interest in development of new approaches in marketing and discovering business opportunities
· High interaction and servicing of stakeholders and clients in countries where mandarin language is used. Minimally business proficiency in Mandarin language
· Use of Data Analytics
· Knowledge and experience in the shipping/marine industry OR have dealt with clients in the shipping/marine industry as this company and industry is in this field of industry
