Job Summary

• Review the CST / LKCSA / RRA and improve end to end control procedures to effectively review the credit risk management processes.
• Ensure Regulatory and Group gap analysis complete within timelines. Coordinate discussion with process owners to implement action plan.
• Follow-up with relevant stakeholders on the gap analysis action plan and dispensation approval.
• Support and comply Group Operation Risk Process Standard including Control Design Assessment (CDA) Refresh, Business Continue Plan (BCP), Outsourcing Standard, Host register, Record Management, etc.
• Adherence to Operational Risk Framework in the process of identification, control monitoring and management of risks. Timely escalation identified / potential operational risks at the relevant forums and record in EORP.
• Prepare dashboard reports on daily / weekly / monthly to be shared with the relevant stakeholders.
• Update senior management on CPBB Credit Risk issues by coordinating monthly QAOR meeting forum.
• Coordinate for internal and external audit and ensure timely follow-up of audit action points.
• Coordinate the requirement from regulatory and response to the request timely and accurately.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy
• Develop, design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance to policies and regulations.
• Implement automation to improve operations efficiency through usage of SAS logics and ensure programs are up to date with credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Derive and help implement the CPBB Credit Risk Policies and framework in country with the help of respective process owners.
• Supervision of Risk Analytics Management Information processes including compliance to the standards and data quality management.
• Operational Risk profile for CPBB Risk support in the implementation of ORF (or similar framework) and other non-financial risk management.
• Support regional / entity level risk management reporting, stress testing and other associated responsibilities

Business
• Aligning risk management approaches/polices across all business unit line in accordance to the Group Risk appetite and regulations.
• Embrace new tools/technology to enhance analytics capability and effectiveness.
• Maintain and develop risk capabilities and skills to meet ongoing business needs and plans.

Processes

• Engagement and work closely with stakeholders to deliver bank objective.
• Provide guidance and training to peers and team members including CAA hub and RRS team.

Risk Management
• Ensuring consistent application and enforcement of risk policies, processes, and controls, in compliance with Group standards.
• Compliance with group policies and standards, local regulatory guidelines.

Governance
• Ensure operational risks and controls are being managed appropriately at the business unit level in a proactive, risk based and disciplined manner to meet external, internal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure Credit operational risk management from an end-to-end basis based on CPBB Process Governance structure.
• Ensure that Units adhere with process standards and incorporate appropriate controls within processes, carry out periodic monitoring activities and ensure timely identification and resolution of risk issues.
• Ensure adequate governance oversight on unit’s outsourced activities, enough onboarding and ongoing due diligence of external / internal service providers, effective service level management and unit’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure satisfactory results with no significant issue of all the internal reviews / external audits and timely follow-up of audit action points.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years’ experience in policy framework, or governance or risk management or quality assurance related role with Tertiary Education or relevant professional qualification
  • Knowledge on CPBB products (mortgages / cards / personal loans / SME / Wealth)
  • Knowledge in M7 system
  • Strong analytical skills in resolving operational and systems issues.

Role Specific Technical Competencies

  • Risk Management and Control: Demonstrated track record in successful management and ability to manage risk in geographically dispersed and highly varied product base. Expertise in process design and control
  • Regulatory Framework and Requirements: Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the firm operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Non-technical Skills: Significant relationship management experience – with external stakeholders at the most senior levels, including regulators and rating agencies.
  • Operation knowledge: Good background of compliance, policies, collection and credit initiation functions
  • Technical Skills: Good problem solving skills with ability to make independent decisions and up hold their decisions despite pressure from other stakeholders
  • Personality: Ability to withstand stress and work on multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Microsoft skill (Excel, Power point, etc)
