About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Director to oversee the performance and reliability of our platform. This regional role requires an individual with a strong background in development, quality assurance, cloud infrastructure, UI/UX, and project management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our platform, addressing downtime, managing bugs, and leading a multidisciplinary team to drive end-to-end website development.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Performance Management:
- Oversee the performance, stability, and scalability of the platform, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of any technical issues.
- Identify and address bugs and other performance bottlenecks in a timely manner
Development and Quality Assurance:
- Lead and guide the development team in building robust, high-quality software solutions.
- Implement and maintain rigorous QA processes to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee cloud infrastructure operations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment pipelines are efficient and reliable.
UI/UX Oversight:
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure that the platform’s user interface is intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly.
- Ensure that the design and functionality of the platform meet the needs of users and stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Manage the entire lifecycle of web development projects from inception through delivery.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver successful projects.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues related to platform performance.
- Communicate effectively with regional stakeholders to provide updates on project status, performance metrics, and potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a technical leadership role, managing platform performance for a large-scale web application.
- Strong background in software development with experience in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance practices, including automated testing and continuous integration.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid experience in UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or cloud platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.)
