Salt is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to join our client on a 12months extendable contract role.
Responsibilities
● Assemble, test, and troubleshoot robot systems with complex mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components. Diagnose issues identified by our monitoring software and execute equipment maintenance regularly.
● Identify and evaluate risks, develop/ monitor work schedules, ensure teamwork and smooth completion to projects.
● Maintain and organize work environment, from documentation to tools and communication channels,enabling quick responses to issues and efficient information retrieval.
● Actively seek and gather feedback on system performance for future product improvements. Proactively inform users of upcoming changes or improvements, and encourage continuous feedback loop.
● Able to work 5 days with at least 1 day on a weekend.
Minimum qualifications
● At least 5+ years of experience as a hardware test technician carrying out hardware development, engineering tests, equipment assembly, maintenance, inventory, and equipment operation.
● Experienced in working with chillers & other HVAC/ACMV equipment, including BMS, chilled water system, and mechanical ventilation system
● Proficiency in general electrical and mechanical machine assembly, understanding of common hand tools, and experience with hardware testing, process validation, or software testing.
● Enthusiastic and innovative, self-starter who displays strong leadership and organizational abilities.
● Proficiency in computer and controller skills and automation dashboard analysis, with ability to diagnose and assess hardware failures, predict downtime, and perform required repairs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to a cross functional audience, including non-technical members
Preferred qualifications
● Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
● Experience in manufacturing industry
● Experience with test methodologies, planning, execution, as a lead, individual contributor or a supporting role.
● Team oriented, self motivated and capable of working independently
