The Executive (Membership & Volunteer Management) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our volunteer programmes and maintaining strong relationships with our members. This position involves overseeing the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers, as well as managing membership services to enhance member engagement and satisfaction. The role is integral in fostering a vibrant community of volunteers and members, ensuring that both groups feel valued and supported.
Volunteer Management:
· Recruit, train, and supervising new and existing volunteers
· Review and maintain a robust volunteer management database
- Match volunteers to opportunities that suit their skill sets, and ensuring they understand their responsibilities and receive the proper training
- Provide training to volunteers
- Prepare and refine codes of conduct and operating procedures to uphold the organisation's values
· Organise volunteer appreciation events and initiatives to acknowledge contributions.
· Address any volunteer-related issues or conflicts and provide support as needed.
- Ensure the organisation's purpose is conveyed to the public
Membership:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive membership strategy that drives engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
· Oversee the entire membership lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding and renewals of membership.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for members, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and collecting feedback to continuously improve member experience.
· Maintain and regularly update the membership database, ensuring accuracy in records related to contact information, membership status, and engagement activities.
· Design and implement member benefits and services that add value to the membership experience, such as exclusive events, newsletters, and online content.
· Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop targeted campaigns that promote membership benefits and events.
· Analyse membership trends and data to identify areas for improvement, and prepare regular reports on membership growth, retention rates, and member satisfaction.
· Plan and coordinate member events, workshops and networking opportunities to foster community and professional development among members.
Administrative Duties:
· Prepare reports and presentations on volunteer and membership activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
· Assist in the development and management of budgets related to volunteer programmes and membership services.
· Support the organisation in other administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
