Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a High Performance & Pathway Executive or Senior Executive. In this role, you will be an essential part of our sports management team, supporting our Team Managers, High Performance & Pathway Manager, and General Manager in driving our vision for success.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the High Performance & Pathway Manager and works closely with the General Manager and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive high performance and competitive success
- Identify and prioritise key performance objectives, targets, and milestones in consultation with relevant stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate and adapt the strategic plan to align with changing needs, trends, and opportunities
- Monitor and manage budgets related to high performance and pathway programs and activities.
2. Athlete Development and Support
- Collaborate with coaches, support staff, and colleagues to identify, nurture and develop athletes
- Oversee athlete selection process, and ensure fair and transparent procedures
- Provide guidance and resources to support the holistic development of athletes, including training, nutrition, sports psychology, and injury prevention/rehabilitation
- Implement athlete performance monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and identify areas for improvement
- Facilitate administrative requirements for matters related to high performance and pathway
3. Coaching Support
- Work closely with coaches and athletes to ensure the delivery of high-quality coaching, and equip them with relevant tools such as sports science to promote athlete performance
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for coaches such as workshops, conferences and certification programs
4. Technical Officials Support
- Collaborate closely with the Umpire and Scorer Commissions to ensure that all technical officials are up-to-date with the latest rules and regulations of the game
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development opportunities for technical officials such as workshops, conferences, certification programs and continuous education initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit, train, and retain a diverse and highly skilled pool of technical officials to support the sport's growth and enhance the quality of competitions
- Establish a clear communication channel with technical officials to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure alignment with the organisation’s objectives
5. Event Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive annual competition schedule that aligns with the organisation’s goals, maximizes participation, and supports the growth of local teams
- Organise and execute local competitions and events to promote increased participation in the sport and enhance its visibility and community engagement
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including teams, sponsors, and local authorities, to ensure smooth event planning and execution
- Manage event logistics, including venue arrangements, equipment, staffing, and coordination of technical officials and volunteers
- Evaluate the success of events through feedback, participation rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform future planning and improvement efforts
6. Facility Management
- Manage and coordinate all public bookings for the National Training Centre (Jurong Softball field), ensuring optimal utilisation and accessibility for national teams and external parties
- Oversee and manage relationships with vendors providing essential services, such as cleaning, pest control, and grass-cutting, to maintain a safe and high-quality environment at the facility
- Liaise effectively with government agencies and stakeholders, including the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), National Environment Agency (NEA), and Sport Singapore (SportSG), to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
- Promptly address facility maintenance needs to ensure a well-maintained and safe environment for all users
7. Team Management
- May need to assume the role of Team Manager for overseas training and competitions, coordinating with host countries and assisting coaches with administrative matters.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills by managing team logistics, fostering team morale, and ensuring smooth coordination during overseas training and competitions
- Update the Council and Secretariat on results and incidents in a timely manner
- Assist with social media requirements such as photos and collaterals when required

Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification – at least a Higher Nitec certificate in Sports Science, Sports Management or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Prefer at least 2 years of relevant working experience (Prior experience in NSA will be an advantage).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and resourceful approach to problem-solving
- A team player who is resourceful, adaptable and able to perform key tasks under assigned timelines
- Able to travel overseas and to the National Training Centre when required
- Have a passion for sports
This is a full-time position that requires extended hours and weekend work at times. Flexible work arrangements would be made if necessary.
