Purpose of Job
1. Manage and supervise the Youth Development and to ensure efficient implementation of Youth programmes and activities while maintaining high level of publicity, awareness and participation for youth social programmes and, events
2. Create, organise and facilitate volunteer and family programmes, events and, services for the mosque
Responsibilities
Manage and develop in house Youth Programmes
· Plan, lead and execute annual action year plan
· Conduct programmes that will attract, sustain and motivate participants to contribute to community development
· Liaison person for administrative related approvals & events between youth and the mosque
Developing Projects (National Level) for Youth
· Plan and conduct outreach programmes at a National Level
Supervises youths’ Publicity platforms
· Ensure contents are relevant and appearance on social media platforms are maintained
· Update and maintain all posters on the notice boards
Community Engagement
· Build and maintain relationships with volunteers and, families within the mosque community
· Organise and facilitate community and, family-centered outreach and, programmes to engage volunteers, families and, address their needs
· Invite guest speakers and experts to provide additional insights and, support for families
Secondary Duties
Support Services
· Support Islamic Learning Dept. for any MRO duties as assigned
· Assist to liaise, coordinate and/or organise district programmes
· Offer resources and referrals for additional support services as needed
Volunteering and Collaboration
· Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to assist with programmes and, events
· Collaborate with other mosque departments and external organisations to enhance family services
Administrative Duties
· Maintain accurate records of programme participation, feedback and outcomes
· Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources
Job Requirements
· Diploma holder with at least 1 year of relevant experience
· Certified ARS tier 1 is an advantage
· Strong passion to work with youths
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Malay language
· Good written, verbal, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
· Multi-tasking & and independent
· Able to work irregular hours and on weekends when needed
· understanding of Islamic family values and practices
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals
