Summary:
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading engineering teams to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget, on schedule, and with the required quality. This role involves coordinating engineering tasks throughout the project lifecycle, from bid to delivery, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Manage engineering activities within the constraints of bids/projects, design policies, contracts, and quality standards.
- Lead discussions and collaboration between internal teams, vendors, and customers to analyze and validate requirements.
- Ensure that engineering plans and activities satisfy customer needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee design evaluation studies and provide advice to customers and internal teams.
- Ensure the production of required project documentation.
- Liaise with customers on technical and procedural issues, ensuring scope control.
- Define work breakdown structures, schedules, KPIs, and engineering tasks, adjusting as needed.
- Define strategies for development, validation, and project commissioning.
- Monitor KPIs and address issues promptly.
- Perform periodic reporting to senior management and customers.
- Implement multi-project synergies and lessons learned to optimize technical solutions.
- Manage engineering risks and opportunities, ensuring commitments are met.
- Optimize technical work against costs, schedules, and risks.
- Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manage Work Package Managers (WPM) and Integration Verification, Validation, and Qualification (IVVQ) Managers.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a Senior Engineering role.
- Experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle management.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with IT/security/C2/defense-related projects.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project lifecycle involvement skills.
- Must be a Singapore Citizen.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations, e.g., INCOSE, Institution of Engineers.
