We are looking for an experienced and proactive Tax & Treasury, Assistant Manager for one of our global client, a leading logistics and supply chain company. In this role, the incumbent will manage all tax and treasury operations matters for Asia. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in tax and treasury roles.
Responsibilities
Tax Management:
- Oversee and manage tax matters, including corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax reporting for the Asia region.
- Ensure quarterly and annual tax provisions comply with Group and Statutory requirements.
- Assist the Finance team with tax-related aspects of the monthly close process.
- Prepare and coordinate annual statutory tax computations in collaboration with the tax agent.
- Prepare GST returns.
- Handle and respond to all tax-related queries from IRAS in partnership with the tax agent.
- Manage transfer pricing, including the review and assessment of related party transaction pricing and withholding tax matters.
- Ensure all tax-related accounting documentation is properly maintained.
- Identify and mitigate potential tax risks.
Treasury:
- Manage treasury operations, including cash operations, banking activities, and hedging for the Asia region.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and perform liquidity planning.
- Maintain banking relationships and coordinate with banks regarding the company’s banking facilities, including banker guarantees.
- Develop and implement cash management strategies to enhance efficiency, improve processes, protect assets, and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to cash management activities.
- Oversee bank account management, including internet bankingplatforms.
- Manage intercompany loans within the group, if applicable.
- Support the accounting team with the monthly close process related to cash, interest, and related accounts, and report to Global.
- Assist with any ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience in tax and treasury roles.
- Experience with Oracle is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently and within a team.
