Job Description
We are seeking Senior Cooks with extensive expertise in Sichuan cuisine, who can inspire and lead our kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining high culinary standards.
Responsibilities
- Master and prepare traditional Sichuan dishes, including food prep, cooking, and plating
- Oversee all kitchen operations
- Work with the head chef to develop and update the menu, including seasonal offerings
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards, ensuring all kitchen practices comply with health codes.
- Assist in managing and training kitchen staff
- Assist in monitoring food costs, inventory, and ordering to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the management team on menu planning and special events.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of experience working as a senior cook or similar roles, specializing in authentic Sichuan cuisine. Expertise in the use of traditional Sichuan ingredients, sauces, and cooking methods.
- Exceptional attention to detail in terms of food preparation, presentation, and maintaining the authenticity of flavors.
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring smooth operations during peak hours.
