ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our team as a Vessel Coordinator who plays a vital role in managing the operational aspects of vessel services and repairs job, with a particular focus on parts procurement and ensuring that assigned engineers have the necessary equipment and materials for onboard repairs and maintenance. This role involves coordinating between ship crews, vendors, vessel schedules, and internal teams to ensure vessels related jobs are maintained efficiently and meet all operational and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time role based in Singapore.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operational Coordination: Oversee daily vessel operations, including scheduling, logistics, and coordination with port authorities, vendors, and internal departments.
· Maintenance Management: Ensure adherence to regular maintenance schedules and coordinate repair activities. Understand and identify required parts and equipment for maintenance tasks and repairs onboard.
· Parts Procurement: Assess and procure necessary parts and materials for vessel repairs and maintenance. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts.
· Equipment Management: Ensure that engineers assigned to the vessel have access to all necessary tools, equipment, and parts required to perform their tasks efficiently.
· Compliance and Safety: Monitor and enforce compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and up-to-date.
· Engineer/Crew Management: Coordinate crew/Engineer schedules, manage crew documentation, and address any crew/engineer-related issues or needs.
· Logistics and Supply Chain: Manage the logistics for the delivery of supplies and equipment required for vessel operations. Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery.
· Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vessel operations, maintenance activities, parts usage, and incidents. Prepare regular reports for management on vessel performance and operational issues.
· Emergency Response: Act as a point of contact for emergency situations involving vessels, coordinating responses and communicating with relevant authorities as needed.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Main Requirements:
· Education: Minimally diploma in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications apart from formal can be applied.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in vessel coordination, marine operations, or a related field. Experience in a similar role within the maritime industry is preferred.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in marine operations software and systems. Strong understanding of maritime regulations, vessel maintenance, and safety procedures. Ability to identify and procure necessary parts and equipment for onboard repairs.
· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, crew members, and external stakeholders.
· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess and resolve operational issues, including parts and equipment procurement, with a proactive approach to identifying potential challenges.
