Healthcare Project:-
· To supervise all mechanical and electrical installation including air-conditioning system, sanitary system, gas system, plumbing system, all extra low voltage (ELV) systems, lightning protection system, lift installation and fire protection system on site, including on-site and off-site acceptance test. SSign off the site hand reports where required / appropriate.
· Coordinate and liaise with the Contractor / Sub-contractors, Project Consultants ‘design office and other Resident Technical Officers/Site executive on site to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
· To check that Contractor executes preliminaries items according to the contract documents and as required by prevalent Authorities’ regulations.
· To study available documentation and take all reasonable steps and conduct Quality Control / Inspection of all M&E works to ensure that quality and standards are achieved as required by M&E QP / SO Rep and as specified in the contract documents.
· To check and verify drawings, service routes and Contractor's setting out and report discrepancies or deviations to the M&E QP / SO Rep’s intent.
· To ensure that all formwork, penetrations, MEP installation are thoroughly checked prior to concreting work to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved shop drawings.
· To supervise, keep and maintain site records including but not limited to progress of works, record of tests, all variation instructions from the M&E QP / SO Rep, requests for inspections, site safety, site diary, construction sketch issuances, instructions given to Contractors, materials and equipment delivered to site, daily activities and weather conditions at site, DfS Guides (e.g. Guide 1 to 3) and any other significant information.
· To attend all site and technical coordination meetings and any other meetings as directed / scheduled.
· Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Keep a proper documentation system at the site office.
· To assist the M&E QP / SO Rep to verify reports and claims submitted by Contractors.
· Report on site safety, security and housekeeping matters.
· To attend to Contractor's queries and monitor works of Main Contractor, Sub-Contractors and direct Contractors/Suppliers at site, work with M&E QP to respond in a timely manner and report any delays to M&E QP immediately.
a) Verify all MEP services are installed in accordance with the approved shop drawings, in particular, prior to closure of ceilings, raised floors, etc.
b) Verify MEP as built drawings submitted by the Contractors against actual installed condition.
c) a) Oversee all testing and commissioning activities and ensure all site installations are functioning to intended design and in a safely manner. Sign off the site hand reports where required / appropriate.
· To inspect and take over completed works, report on defects and prepare list of defective works, sign off defect rectifications in preparation for handover of works.
Requirements:
· Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in M&E or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of M&E work supervisory experience in healthcare / hospitality / residential / commercial and institutional projects.
· Must be registered as Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with BCA/IES/ACES
· Must be conversant with the Building Control Act and all current Statutory Boards’ by-laws including the latest revision of all relevant local codes of practice relevant to the works that are essential for adhering to regulatory requirements.
· Candidate with healthcare project experience will be considered favourably.
· Must be a team player with strong leadership, communication, and supervision skills.
· Estimated commencement of work in December 2024.
