Mondays to Fridays , 6.30am to 3.30pm
The Pastry Chef is to assist in the daily pastry operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry, a strong understanding of modern pastry techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves collaborating with the Pastry Sous Chef and ensuring high-quality pastry production and presentation across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
● Manage with daily operations, including production, recipe development, and quality control.
● Prepare and present pastry items according to high standards, maintaining consistency in taste, texture,
and presentation.
● Manage pastry production, ensuring all items are produced in a timely manner and meet the required
specifications.
● Monitor ingredient usage and control costs, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
● Train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on best practices and modern techniques.
● Oversee kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
● Contribute to menu development by suggesting innovative ideas and new techniques for seasonal
changes.
● Work collaboratively with other departments (culinary, front-of-house) to ensure a seamless service
experience.
● Assist in conducting inventory management, ordering supplies, and managing costs effectively
● Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.
