Application Lead – IT strategy planning and governance
This role will be responsible for developing the overall architecture strategy, roadmap, standards, policies, and governance for the Applications team.
Working with minimal supervision, you will lead the effort to implement and maintain scalable applications in alignment with business goals and IT governance standards.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, designers, and developers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business users.
This role demands strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities, with a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Governance: Develop and maintain the overall architecture strategy, roadmap, standards, policies, and governance framework to guide the Applications team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that IT strategies align with business objectives and policies.
- Compliance & Oversight: Oversee the development and management of architecture requirements, ensuring compliance with IT policies, audit, and regulatory standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on application performance, governance, and compliance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize processes and improve the overall efficiency and scalability of applications.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure all team members adhere to established IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate planning and budgeting efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in completing full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects.
- Strong technical background with experience in Microsoft technologies, including .NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, SQL, SAP, and PeopleSoft.
- Good understanding of cloud services and infrastructure, with knowledge of system architecture, scalability, and security considerations.
- Experience in setting coding standards and improving team processes.
- Advantageous to have experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies or familiarity with ISO27001 standards.
