SBM Lead, Brand Marketing

Purpose of the Position:


The SBM Lead is the member of the Strategic Brand Marketing, driving execution of above-affiliate tactics and localization of strategy ensuring continuous growth of priority products.


Key Accountabilities:


Compliance:

  • Embed Compliance Culture across all Regions of the business ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives.
  • Ensure Marketing Function strictly adopt a culture of ethics and compliance, leading by example and appropriately challenging non-compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards and interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organisations (HCOs) and Patient Organisations (POs).

Job Responsibilities:


  • Under the leadership of the Operations Group Lead, support cross-functional co-creation with affiliates of the 1-year operational plan, making recommendations around investment & divestment opportunities, driving launch excellence, aligning brand planning and priorities, and increasing collaboration and opportunities for the region and priority markets supported.
  • Act as a key brand expert, driving brand tactics implementation throughout the region and priority markets, ensuring adherence to the operational brand plan and global brand strategy, maximising market share and revenue growth, using the wide and full range of channels needed.
  • Lead the implementation of selected global and regional multi-channel materials/programmes in partnership with the Affiliates.
  • Partner with the OSO team to build and deploy an effective digital engagement strategy for the brand that is fit-for-purpose across all affiliates.
  • Manage the relationship with Key External Experts to develop insights and services through effective engagement with key stakeholders in close collaboration with medical.
  • Coordinate with affiliate-level operational plans, conduct operational reviews highlighting potential deviations from the global strategy.
  • SBM Lead will interact with Affiliate Brand teams and other SBM Leads.
  • Other such duties as may be reasonably required by the business.

Mandatory Compliance requirements


  • To be aware of Astellas' Group Code of Conduct and associated policies and procedures and other applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Clarify and seek guidance as required, and raise any concerns, in a timely manner, with relevant manager, which may include reference to the Ethics and Compliance Team and/or Ethics and Compliance Helpdesk.
  • Undertake and comply with relevant mandatory Ethics and Compliance training and updates to maintain personal awareness; all training to be undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Be aware of and comply with, the Astellas Way and Astellas Competences, in terms of expected values and behaviors, in addition to Astellas’ HR policies, procedures and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:


  • 8-10 years experiences in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, Molecular Biology, or other scientific discipline.
  • Pharma sector experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
  • Strong sales and marketing experience in an affiliate.
  • Track-record of leading planning process with excellent organisational and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Coaching and collaboration skills to interact with all levels of personnel to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrable examples of ability to develop, coach and enable high performance teams and proactively promote best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Proven compliance expertise; to understand and comply with industry laws and relevant regulations.
  • Fluent in written and verbal business English.
  • Graduate or equivalent professional qualification and/or proven expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Above country experience a plus.
