Duties & Responsibilities:
Solutions Design
- Support the development of new customer projects, either with existing client contact or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visit and presentation
- Analyse customer requirements and support Q&A sessions
- Design and propose warehousing and supply chain solutions according to customer needs:
- Assess Resources, MHE, investments, EDI, automation opportunities, etc.
- Provide costs analysis and rates
- Provide input to the design and implementation of new and innovative solutions for new and potential customers, e.g. by market research and establishing vendor relevant contacts
- Build RFP technical answer document to present the solution in customer tenders
- Present the technical solution during tender selection meeting
Project Management
- Manage the implementation of logistics and supply chain projects
- Organize business requirements workshop between Customers teams, involved IT departments, management team and Operations / Key Users
- Analyse and summarize relevant data to support the workshop (decisions, follow-up analysis)
- Define and implement the operational strategy (put away strategy, warehouse zoning, replenishment & picking strategy)
- Follow-up IT developments and WMS setup/configuration with the regional IT team and Global IT department and process management teams
IT enhancement and new IT solutions – based on new Warehouse Modules secure
- process streamlining across Asia warehouses and generate process improvements
- Coordinate with purchasing for suppliers selections and site renovation/installation
- Follow-up on the management of project:
- Resources (both operational recruitment and resources allocated to the project)
- Costs and budget follow-up
- Schedule and on-time milestones / delivery
- Deliverables
- Organize and report advancement with internal and external customers
- Finalize potential commercial issues on contract, quotations
- Handover to Operations
Operational, Implementation and Process Improvements
- Implement best standards and practices for Logistics Services in all Logwin offices in the Asia Region and support global standardization initiatives where feasible
- Conduct regular process reviews (“As-is-Analysis”) to all warehouses in the Region to continuously review and improve service performance and cost reduction resulting in at least an annual review summary to be reported to COO Asia; conduct and make sure follow ups
- Implement, execute and observe warehouse and logistics procedures, generic and where required also in line with individual customer’s requirements
- Attend to selected QBRs of at least top 10 warehouse customers (by revenue) in the region
- Lending operational support and technical decisions to warehouse managers
- Manage other logistics and supply chain projects across the involved functions and oversee implementation until handover, mainly in the Asia region and in collaboration with Global IT/Supply Chain and process management teams.
Customer Service
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers and work team
- Audit operations in warehouses to ensure service standards and agreed KPIs are being met
- Maintain high profile with customers and solicit feedback
Finance
- Participate in the preparation of warehouse revenue projections and individual account analysis.
- Responsible to understand and interpret financial information on the P&L statements
Compliance
- Observance and compliance with all commercial and legal matters for the warehouse in the region
- Support risk management activities
