Position Overview:
The Food Service Counter Attendant plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service by preparing and serving food and beverages to customers at the food court counter. This position requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The attendant will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Assist customers with menu selections and answer any questions they may have.
- Take orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Ensure timely and accurate service of food and beverages.
2. Food Preparation:
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and food safety standards.
- Ensure food presentation is appealing and portions are consistent.
- Maintain food storage areas, ensuring they are clean and properly stocked.
3. Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and organised counter area, including food preparation and serving areas.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handwashing, glove usage, and sanitization procedures.
- Dispose of trash and food waste regularly.
4. Inventory and Supplies:
- Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and inform management when items need to be reordered.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address any issues or concerns.
Requirements:
- ** Applicable to Singaporeans only due to quota limitations
- Secondary school education or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service, food court or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Those with F&B experience will be favourably considered
- Positive working attitude and a ready smile
- Possess a valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments.
