SEA & ANZ Engineering Manager
Job Description:
As a SEA & ANZ Engineering Manager at JLL, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality workplace solutions for our clients. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, collaborating with various stakeholders to design, plan, and execute workplace projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage the end-to-end engineering process for workplace projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards. This includes overseeing project planning, resource allocation, and coordination with internal and external teams.
- Design and Engineering: Utilize your technical expertise to develop innovative and sustainable workplace solutions. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other professionals to create detailed designs, engineering specifications, and cost estimates.
- Engineering Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support throughout projects. Foster a collaborative work environment, promote professional growth, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and translating them into feasible engineering solutions. Build strong relationships, manage client expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all workplace projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality control assessments to deliver projects of the highest quality.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to procure specialized services, materials, and equipment. Facilitate the bidding process, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance to meet project goals.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in workplace engineering. Apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes and provide expert advice to clients and team members.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance engineering processes, methodologies, and tools to increase efficiency, optimize project delivery, and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) preferred but not a prerequisite.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in workplace engineering or a similar role.
- Expertise in diverse engineering areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and sustainability.
- Proficient in building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capability to mentor and develop a team.
