Director of Sales, APAC region

Job Responsibilities:


· Achieve sales targets according to budget.

· Develop budget from customer viewpoint.

· Develop a strong sales strategy in accordance with SPT 5 years business plans and current year initiatives

· Lead and build a strong performing sales team which excels through technical value proposition. Develop an

effective Account Plan for large or global customers. Champion sales skills training.

· Lead in weekly and monthly sales meetings, maintaining forecast accuracy and identifying cross border

collaborations. Monthly report out during exec sales meetings.

· Build robust new business opportunity funnel focusing on top projects in accordance to SPT business plans.

· Manage distribution network with clear KPI

· Build-up strong relationship with key IDM on different organization levels and functions.

· Cooperate and align globally with other functions to build a strong matrix organization.

· Support product management to enable a sustainable and profitable product portfolio with robust go-to-market

strategies, including trade shows, techdays and technology propositions through Voice of Customer.

· Identification of growth markets.

· Maintain commercial contracts - customer/ distributor, NDA, JDA etc.

· Adherence to SPT Code of Conduct

Supervisory Responsibilities

· Team of salespersons, sales managers and distributors/agents in SEA, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Optimization of

customer coverage focusing on growth markets.


Education and/or Experience

· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering related field and 10 plus years of industry

experience in technical sales is required. Experience in the electronic packaging industry for semiconductors is

preferred.

· Must have strong customer service orientation and communicate effectively both externally and internally.

Strong semiconductor customer connection and relationships at middle/ top level.

· Knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as sales contact management database

software (CRM) highly desired.

· A track record of successfully meeting deadlines through initiative and proactive approach required. Self-starter

with an attention to detail is required.

· Demonstrate a high level of professionalism; exhibit a high level of project management, negotiation, and

presentation skills.


Language Skills

· Excellent communicator with ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, internally and externally.

Must be willing to ask for clarification or assistance when needed. Knowledge of principles and processes for

providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards

for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Communicating in a professional manner with people

outside the organization and representing the organization to customers. This communication can be exchanged

in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail. Must have the ability to handle irate customers with tact.
