Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of data center technicians and vendor staff
- Coordinate daily operations including monitoring of data center systems, facilities and environment
- Identify and respond to system alerts, issues and incidents, escalating to management as needed
- Administer and oversee service desk operations for data center-related tickets/requests
- Liaise with internal teams regarding data center maintenance, upgrades and support needs
- Assist with disaster recovery activities, testing and documentation
- Ensure adherence to operational policies, processes and service level agreements
- Conduct periodic reviews and report on operational gaps, risks or improvement areas
- Maintain accurate documentation of data center facilities, equipment records and procedures
- Follow and enforce safety and compliance protocols within the data center
- Provide training, guidance and oversight to the data center technician team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in data center operations, facilities monitoring and management
- 1+ years of experience leading or supervising a technical operations team
- Solid understanding of data center infrastructure
- Working knowledge of monitoring systems, ticketing systems and incident management
