Reporting to the head of the Technology Division for the oversight of Asia Application Department within Technology covering both Development and application maintenance team
This role will suit someone with a strong technical and commercial background as a Head of Technology, CTO or Head of Application from banking / financial institution.
The role will manage team size of around 70 headcounts. It covers Development,Tech lead, Testers and BAs for all key business applications and especially the solutions used to process the front to back office systems
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate senior experience as Application head type roles with strong technical background overseeing the department and specifically striving for improving Tech standards and organisational setup.
- Provide strategic leadership and manage development of new technologies and products that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Managing entire project life cycles including testing and BAs
- Ensuring all projects are delivered on time , within budget
- Work with the Business teams (Head / MDs) to define and collaborate with other departments, to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the company's products and operations.
- Recommend and support software engineering best practices and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Drive technological excellence, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of all software.
- Advocate best practices in software development
Skills and Experience Required:
· Bachelor or Master degree with substantial experience as Technology senior manager either as Head of Application or Technology with min 6 years of experience in banking industry
· Well rounded and balanced personality considering wider context and strategic factors when assessing, recommending and implementing change
· Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of talented engineers.
· Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
· Must have prior experience in managing both change and run the bank
· Appreciation of IT security ,Tech Risk in financial industry
