- Assist to manage and oversee warehouse physical operations and system functions effectively.
- Constantly monitor and update latest customer requirements in line with Company ISO.
- Be responsible to support day-to-day operations in warehouse by ensuring adequate manpower to perform warehouse duties.
- Plan and coordinate with customer service teams to ensure timely operations (shipments clearance and delivery) execution.
- Conduct Tool Box Meeting (TBM) before shift starts. Highlight important and latest information, goals and safety measurements to all staff.
- Ensure staff is trained and deployed accordingly to their respective departments and maximizing their full potential to produce quality workforce.
- Oversee warehouse operations are executed in a timely, quality and safely manner.
- Plan and set KPI targets for team to achieve constantly.
- Ensure warehouse have sufficient auxiliaries materials for operations and train packaging.
- Plan and manage physical inventories and storage space availability for daily goods and arrange transfers from warehouse to mainland where necessary
- Check and reply e-mails and follow up on important or outstanding issues
- Plan ahead for the next day operations (safety awareness, damage bag control, overtime, training, etc)
- Warehouse patrolling at yard/weigh bridge/seabulk area. (Morning/Afternoon or Evening)
- Consolidate and check accuracy of all reports for daily meeting
- Plan and arrange manpower for OT if necessary
- Attend daily meeting, follow up and make necessary arrangement
- Ensure that Supervisors are aware that equipment are properly maintained and sent for repair as and when required
- Manual report of damage bags in WMS.
- Compile and report WMS problem log to customer
- Collate, analyze and provide qualitative data to higher management review for continuous process and system enhancements.
- Review staff performances, provide coaching, motivate, encourage and counsel when required.
- Ensure warehouse personnel are aware and abide to safety procedures and security of the warehouse.
- Report any accident or incident immediately to Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure housekeeping duties are performed and warehouse area is well kept from hazardous or harmful elements.
- Manage personnel matters – e.. Annual leave and Overtime schedule.
Environmental Management System:
- To place priority on health, safety and environmental matters.
- Preventing pollution to the environment and safeguarding safety and health of everyone at the workplace.
- Ensure staff are equipped and putting on the necessary personal protective equipment required for their jobs such as, safety shoes, respiratory protection and luminous uniform.
- Feedback concerns and areas of improvement.
- Share best practices, intervene and influence peers.
- To ensure spill kits are in place at designated locations with adequate absorbent materials and proper waste disposals.
- To ensure passageways, staircases and access to emergency or firefighting should be free from obstruction.
- To constantly educate and remind staff on Health, Safety and Environment during TBM or regular training.
- In the event of Spillage Control Emergency Plan:
- Go to site and allocate manpower to control the spillage as per given instruction only.
- Do not approach the spillage unless instructed by Warehouse Manager.
- To monitor and report any unsafe situation immediately.
Requirements:
- Forklift Driver's License
- Strong operational experience in warehousing and practising warehouse best practices
- Successfully lead and developed and managed teams
- Knowledge in write off and raking management
- Experienced in end-to-end inventory management
- Must possess good leadership skills
- Must be able to work on Jurong Island
