Our Client is the world's largest Furniture Manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Managing financial aspects of day-to-day operations, understanding the financial impact of customer needs, and ensuring smooth financial processes within the stores.
- In-depth knowledge of processing transactions with third-party vendors, including MasterCard, Visa, Amex, and FavePay.
- Ensuring accurate and timely receipt processing, reconciliation of payments, and handling any discrepancies.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles specific to retail marketing.
- Recording and reporting marketing expenses, analyzing marketing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Proficiency in maintaining full sets of accounts.
- Managing general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.
- To be in charge of Malaysia offices’ financial operations in the future.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, with knowledge of Sage being advantageous.
- Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with third-party vendor receipts, such as Mastercard, Visa, Amex, and FavePay
- Understanding of accounting practices related to retail marketing
- Knowledgeable about GST tax compliance
- Open to overseas travel for business.
