Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Mechanical Marine vendor packaged equipment in compliance with applicable International codes (such as IMO, SOLAS) Classification Rules, ASME
- Develop technical specifications & standards as well as requisitions for marine packaged equipment and system such as Essential and Emergency Generator, Non API pumps, Inert Gas Generator package, low and High Foam Expansion Packages etc
- Evaluates the technical aspects of bids received from suppliers and concludes assessment to the bidder.
- Assists in placing and executing the orders. Review Supplier documents such as data sheets and drawings for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise and coordinate work with various stakeholders
- Provides technical support, engineering support and advice for quality work on-site
- Resolve technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know- how that may arise during the execution of package engineering, fabrication and post delivery
- Ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector
- Exposure in FPSO projects
- Have good understanding of the specifications and requirements in the area of marine mechanical packages and equipment such as Essential and Emergency Generator, Non API pumps, Fire water pumps, Garco pumps, Inert Gas Generator package, low and High Foam Expansion Packages etc
- Conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, NFPA, International codes (such as IMO, SOLAS) Classification Rules and regulations
