Responsibilities:
1. Communication between company & HQ
- Arrange equipment meeting.
- Prepare equipment meeting material for discussion.
- Information sharing.
2. Communication between company & vendors
- Communicate with Japan vendors for new equipment / parts purchasing.
- Negotiation for equipment / parts purchasing.
- Vendors auditing.
- Arrange vendor related schedules.
- Information sharing between vendors and company.
3. Design Review
- Arrange design review meeting schedule.
- Prepare design review material for discussion.
- Chair design review meeting.
- Conduct design review with related sections.
- Prepare design review document for approval.
4. Project Management
- Communicate with overseas or local vendor for project management.
- Project related budget control.
- Project quality, safety, and schedule control.
- Work together with vendor, equipment owner and TES to create equipment PM check list before new equipment handover to owner section.
5. Vendor management
- Qualify new vendors.
- Conduct audit for existing vendors.
- Compare different vendors for quality and cost control.
6. Engineering Standard creation.
- Singapore Authority requirements, practice, etc.
- Share created standard with related sections.
- Conduct training for related sections.
7. Modification
- Understand process and existing equipment performance.
- Propose modifications to resolve current problems, including process or equipment improvement.
- Discuss with vendor and related sections to carry out modification.
- Assessment of the modification result.
- Follow up cases closing of the modifications.
8. Support spare parts management and maintenance works.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment and parts purchasing.
- Support TES to resolve equipment problems.
- Conduct training for trouble shooting skill improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant working experience
- Diploma in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant working experience
- Study or work experience in Japan.
- Fluent Written and spoken in both English and Japanese
- Good understand for Japanese working culture.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Good presentation skills to share and brief co-workers and management with clarity.
- Intermediate MS Office.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to carry out hands-on work.
- Have leadership and supervision skills to guide and coach team members.
