Architect, Landscape

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead landscape design planning and management. Oversee and develop landscape design concept, detailed design for tender and implementation including fulfilling requirement of the authorities.
2. Carry out site/user analysis or survey, identification of issues, research studies on landscape/environmental related issues and develop design solutions.
3. Work closely with relevant project team and stakeholders including Horticulture team and landscape execution team in managing consultants, contractors and vendors to achieve sustainable, inclusive, environmentally friendly and aesthetically beautiful spaces.
4. Review, assess and prepare working drawings and construction details best suited to the site, cost estimation and pitching for funding.
5. Assist in setting up landscape design policies and guideline. Establish general landscape and environment design requirements and standards for long term sustainability, protection and continual enhancement of environment and aesthetic;
6. Evaluate and review landscape design proposal by consultant, implement landscape projects, streetscape, high-rise greenery project, nature attractions, parks and other landscape components such as ecological and irrigation water related studies, irrigation system, landscape lighting, nature play equipment, park features/amenities etc.
7. Select and manage consultants, specialists and contractors and review design suggestions
8. Review, assess and advise on working drawings and construction details best suited to the site;
9. Manage, coordinate and negotiate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders e.g. Consultants, Contractors, Government Authorities and service providers for various aspects of project approval, design and execution;
10. Advisory and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to enforce greenery standards to achieve a sustainable environment.
11. Support project/development to enhance aesthetic and environment led by other divisions;
12. Drive, monitor Project performance and track progress of projects to deliver on-time, conduct cost engineering to control budget. On Site supervision may be required;
13. Inspect and manage aesthetic of ambience / built spaces including art and signage installations, propose recommendation for maintenance, repair, write off or refresh to ensure good show.
14. Support new development projects. Review consultants’ proposals on landscape design, environmental impacts, tree protection, tree replacement strategies, environmental impacts in alignment with the national guidelines and standard.
15. Procurement and contract management - prepare requirement specifications, tender drawings, evaluation, documentation and manage cross-functional teams.
16. Maintain records, update on status, budgeting and track expenditures.
17. Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimally Degree in Landscape Architecture with a few years of relevant working experience in a professional landscape practice.
• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant working experience in a professional landscape practice in architectural / environmental design field.
• Well-versed in tropical landscape architecture and plant materials and have good knowledge in natural and urban landscape applications, high-rise landscaping, ABC water, biophilic / sustainable landscape and other technical requirements.
• Possess good knowledge in project management, local plants and construction materials.
• Self-motivated with strong communication, good interpersonal skills, innovative and creative
• Familiar with MS Office, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other latest design software and applications.
