- Support the technical team in the daily operations of vessels.
- Provide general secretarial and administrative support to Technical Department as instructed by Vessel manager.
- Arranging all Class Surveys, safety related Services, Technical repairs/calibration services as instructed by vessel manager.
- Responsible for collecting and documenting all technical information, weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting, etc, from the ships, Class, Flag State & ensure that all records are electronically filed in Share point/ company’s repository.
- Maintaining vessels in the company database, entering all their technical information, including registration, particulars, dimensions, capacities, budgets & Management Agreements.
- Updating changes of information or status when vessels are retrofitted, sold or otherwise modified.
- Maintaining an Updated Guarantee & Claims Record and for liaising with Vessel Managers of each vessel to follow up its status
- Co-ordinate and make arrangements for documents to be delivered to and from vessels.
- Liaising with Class, Flag State office for collecting and delivering documents.
- Processing addition of new suppliers to company systems.
- Raising Purchase and Service Orders.
- Uploading proforma invoices and following through with accounts about payment
Job Requirements:
- Secondary Education - O'Level and GCSE Standard.
- Minimum 1 years of experience as technical assistant/purchaser in a Ship Management/Ship Owner company.
- Able to prioritise workload.
- Adequate PC knowledge.
- Above average Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- Proficient in English language.
- Good communication skills
