Job Purpose
- Work on surface modelling to draw a flat representation of the product, for example a bearing.
- Work on a project from the initial brief, through the development stage, to the testing of one or more prototypes, right through to final manufacture and implementation.
- Maintain the drawing library.
- Responsible to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, part drawing notes, customer specifications and internal work instructions.
- Creating quality technical specifications for suppliers, auditing their quality procedures, and managing complaints and returns. Responsible for developing products and driving innovation according to the product roadmap, with a focus on maximizing product profitability, improving product performance, and ensuring competitiveness and innovation of products and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Tru-Marine’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy; comply with risk assessment and all HSE aspects relevant to work
- Interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, part drawing notes, customer specifications and internal instructions
- Perform reverse engineering
- Produce CAD drawings from shop/ mechanical drawings or from scratch
- Programming of laser, CNC and other production equipment utilizing CAM software or other appropriate methods
- Design of specialty parts/ jigs/ fixtures for in-house use
- Ensure 5S activities are carried out daily
- Programming on robotic controller
- Any ad-hoc task within scope
