The Role

Key responsibilities include planning and delivering audits that assess enterprise-wide risks, identifying control gaps, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance risk management and operational controls. The role also involves preparing clear, concise audit reports for stakeholders, managing key relationships, supporting annual audit planning, and coaching team members. You will contribute to the development of audit methodologies, deliver onboarding for new team members, and lead special projects to improve the audit function's effectiveness. Additionally, you will assess and advise on emerging risks, support stakeholder training on internal controls, and assist in managing the annual audit plan and reporting for corporate and regional boards.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification preferred. They bring at least 10 years of internal audit experience within a pharmaceutical company, MNC, or Big 4 environment, with proven leadership skills and the ability to build credibility across all organizational levels. This role requires a proactive, self-start mindset, with strong business acumen and ideally knowledge of pharmaceutical processes. The candidate should be adept at navigating ambiguity, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and implementing process improvements. Purpose and Scope

Reporting to the Workplace Safety & Health Manager to ensure compliance with all HSSE laws and regulations and other HSSE requirements applicable to Sembcorp’s activities, products and services.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide strong support to implement & maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and MOM SMS (SS 506 Part 3), MHI Safety Case Regime; and other applicable Q-HSSE Standards and Best Practices.
• Provide day-to-day support to Operation & Maintenance (O&M) teams on Hazards & risks control issues and assessing process hazards and risks.
• Manage the sustainability and/or support implementation of the following Process Safety elements for:
• Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
• Management of Change (MOC).
• Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR).
• Process Safety Performance Measurement and Analysis.
• Compliance with relevant MOM Process Safety requirements.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Related industry experience with an Engineering degree or diploma, preferably in Chemical/ Environmental / Process or Risk engineering.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM.
• Registered Fire Safety Manager with Singapore Civil Defence Force.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in the relevant process industries.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal auditor trained.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore HSSE related regulatory requirements preferred.
