About the role

Amberdale Asset Management is seeking an experienced HR and Admin Manager to join our dynamic team in the One North Central Region. In this full-time, strategic position, you will be responsible for overseeing all human resource and administrative functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our thriving business.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and best practices to support the company's growth and goals
• Overseeing the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding
• Managing payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with relevant employment legislation
• Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
• Maintaining comprehensive HR records and generating reports as required
• Coordinating office management and administrative functions to optimise efficiency and productivity
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing innovative solutions
• Providing full secretarial support to the Managing Director

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (7+ years) in a generalist HR and/or administrative management role, ideally within a professional services or financial services environment
• Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and payroll administration
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Proficiency in HR information systems and MS Office suite
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle all office administration matters and provide full administrative support including managing schedules, appointments and correspondences, organizing meetings, maintaining filing systems (both digital and physical), handling travel arrangements and itineraries and managing databases and updating records
• Act as a first point of contact including screening and handling phone calls and inquiries.
• Manage personal commitments and appointments for the employer
• Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned
• Research and compile information for projects or tasks
• Provide logistical support for events, meetings and conferences

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or degree in business studies, administration, management or equivalent
• At least 3 years of working experience as personal assistant or administration manager
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and communication tools
• Able to maintain high level of confidentiality
