· Develop a deep understanding of design specifications based on customer requirements, , organizational goals, and business strategies. Conceptualize and develop solutions based on project requirements and Company standards through the use of simulations/modelling to support design concept used.

· Develop design specification sheet with relevant info related to the project and update as and when required and distribute to relevant parties.

· Carry out detailed cycle time study for individual modules to select the appropriate machine or module design. Develop 3D model of the machine and/or modules assigned with optimised design for manufacturing, cost, quality and safety.

· Initiate and carry out internal design reviews to share and explain the completed modules with other departments.

· Initiate and carry out design review with customer base on project schedule

· Revise design and documents based on both internal and external review

· Create and update flow chart for the module or the entire machine

· Create part drawings and assembly drawings based on approved design and obtain approval from department manager

· Create Bill Of Materials (BOM) for the modules assigned based on design schedule given

· Create drawing release file and send out drawings for quotation

· Send out standard part list for quotation based on BOM

· Receive quotation and make price comparison spreadsheet

· Raise PR and get department manager approval and send to Purchase department for negotiation and ordering

· Promptly support any design issues discovered during fabrication and /or assembly stages

· Make necessary modifications needed, update design, drawings and get approval from department manager.

· Release revised drawings to supplier and internal assembly team

· Support machine assembly team as and when necessary, with set up and fine tuning of machines

· Carry out all the activities based on the project schedule given

· Meet quality standards while maintaining working knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices, and upholding company policies, internal, customer standards for machine building and safety.

· Develop, train, and educate junior engineers, guide technical direction, and act as a technical liaison between customers

What you will do

1. DFT architecture exploration & evaluation for next-gen process node & package technology of MediaTek:

• Scan chain insertion & ATPG pattern generation
• Pattern validation through simulation & silicon analysis(pass/fail, shmoo, fail log, etc.)
• Diagnosis to help manufacture process improvement

2. Co-work with SoC architect, RTL designer, physical design engineer, and package engineer to define best architecture for 3D-IC:

• PPA(Performance/Power/Area) impact analysis & mitigation via DFT innovation
• Develop & integrate DFT-related RTL design modules to test chip

What you will bring

1. Master's Degree in EEE/ EE/ CE
2. Expertise in Synopsys and/or Mentor DFT tools, and HDL simulators like Synopsys VCS
3. Fluency in script language including but not limited to TCL/Perl/Python
4. Experience about MBIST with state-of-the-art SRAM structure & EDA tools is big plus
5. Skill for RTL design & integration, and physical failure analysis(PFA) will also be plus
6. Ability to think and work independently with different teams
7. Interest in understanding more details in entire design flow
8. Ability to use English for discussing technical details
9. With a minimum of 7 years relevant industrial work experience

Job Description:

• To ensure that the Engineering designs are in compliance with project specific requirements, and in-line with the Engineering Standard Practice, Company’s ISO procedures, national and international engineering norms, codes, and safety requirements.
• Generate block diagrams, bill of materials, functional design specifications, design calculation, wiring drawings, and all other documents and drawings as required by project and necessary to ensure equipment can be procured, integrated, tested, installed and handed over to the customer on schedule.
• Ensure equipment supplied for a specific project is technically compliant with relevant specification requirements, project technical standards, correctly configured and completed.
• Ensures equipment specified and designed can be successfully integrated with other equipment with which it has to interface to.
• Produces test procedure documentation appropriate to project commissioning.
• Provides technical support to system assembly and integration team.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Projects & Retrofit Manager / Assistant Manager
