The role involves conducting thorough research to support the production of high-quality video content, from documentaries and series to news package. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

1. **Research & Content Development**:
- Conduct in-depth research on various topics, including historical events, industry trends, and target audience preferences.
- Gather information from credible sources (articles, books, archives, interviews, etc.) to support video concepts and scripts.
- Compile background materials, facts, and data to enhance the accuracy and relevance of video projects.
- Collaborate with writers, producers, and directors to ensure that research aligns with creative and production goals.

2. **Script Support**:
- Assist in the story development by providing accurate and engaging research material.
- Fact-check scripts to ensure historical and factual accuracy, making necessary corrections as needed.
- Identify potential experts, interviewees, or locations relevant to the project.

3. **Content Sourcing**:
- Identify and source appropriate stock footage, images, music, and other visual/audio elements for production.
- Work with external libraries, archives, and rights holders to secure permissions for third-party content.

4. **Pre-Production Assistance**:
- Research and recommend filming locations, including coordinating logistics such as permits and local resources.
- Prepare briefing documents and reports to support the production team during pre-production planning.
- Help identify potential interview subjects or contributors relevant to the content.

Skills Required:

- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, usable formats.

- Excellent communication and writing skills, preferably in both English and Chinese.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

- Familiarity with video production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production.

- Proficient in using research tools, databases, and software (e.g., online archives, video databases, etc.)

Job Description:

• Prepare designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.
• Coordinate with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
• Prepare technical submissions for materials, construction methods and C&S shop drawings.
• Resolve any construction issues on drawings and liaise closely with relevant departments as well as the authorities, to ensure consistency with contractual technical specifications and statutory rules and regulations.
• Report on work progress during meetings.
• Attend site inspection with required.
• Any other tasks that assigned by reporting officer.

Job Requirement:

• Possess a Degree in Engineering (Civil)
• Experience in handling LTA Infrastructure design works
• At least 8 years design experience
• Good knowledge of the various engineering design software, for instance Autocad, BIM
• Candidate with strong relevant years of experience will be considered for senior positions

• Supervision of drafting for the preparation of project documentation.
• Prepare designs, sketches and reports with supporting calculations for projects, and supply drafting staff with information to assist in the production of detailed drawings, the development of quantities, materials lists and cost estimates as required.
• Assist in the preparation of technical detail for quotations, contract documentation and technical specifications.
• Prepare technical submissions for materials, construction methods and C&S shop drawings.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers concerning the design, installation or construction and commissioning of assigned work.
• Participate in the planning of projects as required.
• Previous experience in the use and application of Appropriate Singapore local and international Standards for structural design.
• Attend site inspection with required

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify project design hazards, construction risks, and constructability issues.
• Develop corresponding mitigation measures together with the project team.
• Chair regular risk mitigation meetings and training with clients and internal parties.
• Advise management on alternative safer and higher productivity construction methodologies.
• Review method statements and risk assessments for safety and construction compliance.
• Attend meetings related to construction progress, risks, etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Managements.

Job Requirements:

• Have reasonable exposure in safety and health for construction especially on transportation infrastructure projects in a similar nature
• Attended the Design for Safety (DfS) for Professional Course and passed the assessment or equivalent.
• A registered PE or Architect with a Practicing Certificate OR
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the design and the supervision of the construction of structures with at least 5 years in design which includes contributions to designs and writing specification
• Have a degree accepted by PE Board or Board of Architect and construction related degree accepted by Singapore Institute of Surveyors (SISV) and Society of Project Managers (SPM)
• Possess excellent leadership, planning, good management skills, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
• Have experience in LTA projects have an advantage

The Job

• Conceptualize stories independently to produce fresh, engaging content that resonates with audiences on social media and think visually to optimize audience engagement
• Manage and execute the pre and post-production of short (1-2 minutes) and longer-form feature news videos, which include proposing creative news angles, research and site recces, sourcing of profiles and personalities, pre-interviews, overseeing location shoots, conducting on-camera interviews, scripting, line-producing, overseeing video editing and other post-production processes, such as creating graphics for web and mobile video content, as well as archiving footages
• Ensuring final video meets expectations with compelling story-telling, professional delivery in terms of visuals, audio, graphics and special effects
• Understand audience engagement strategies on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms
• Generate and adapt visual content for different social media platforms
• Manage all video assets
• Coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders, if necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in journalism, communications, or a related field, with 3-4 years of experience in news journalism.
• Strong interest in daily news and current affairs, including knowledge of events in China and Mandarin-speaking regions.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess significant news and tailor content to diverse target audiences.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Proficiency in videography or video editing is a plus.
• Familiarity with current trends across social media platforms.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapt to various tasks efficiently.
