The Design for Manufacturability Engineer is responsible for managing the manufacturability of products. The Design for Manufacturability Engineer establishes reliable, stable and Lean manufacturing processes. This person serves as key interface between Engineering and Manufacturing, and provides expertise in areas such as machining, process planning (Lean), manufacturing and mechanical assembly process design, test procedures, standard work development, ownership of new product routings, cost roll. The ideal candidate also should possess good leadership skills to take ownership of the projects supported. Candidate with pump stage manufacturing experience like stage tooling design, stage machining, pouring and casting will be preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Design processes using Lean concepts, such as standardized work instructions, line balancing, layout and work sequence optimization, training development matrix, value stream mapping, Kaizen/5S workouts, pull processes, total preventive maintenance, cell design and quick changeover and batch-size optimization.
• Identify manufacturing risks on new products and minimize or eliminate them using Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools.
• Direct the engineering team on manufacturability concepts and materials during the design phase to define and eliminate manufacturing risks and ensure the manufacturability of new designs during new and rapid response product development.
• Be responsible, with Production or Manufacturing Manager, for manufacturing sign-off.
• Provide manufacturing expertise on drawings to help ensure consistency between component requirements and manufacturing capability.
• Exploring and implementing new ways to make processes more efficient
• Designing and enabling automation of processes as needed for the project
• Component design and GD&T on new designs of parts.
• Maintain Design for Manufacturability responsibility while managing the transition of new products to the appropriate Integration or Production Center for ENP and pilot series builds.
• Incorporate shop floor and supplier manufacturability issues into future products.
• Manage manufacturability issues to ensure that established product quality and product yield levels are met at the start of production.
• Help investigate, analyze root cause and implement corrective action for product quality and product yield issues during product launch.

Job Requirements:

• 5 to 7 years’ in downhole equipment manufacturing or stage manufacturing experience
• Bachelors or Masters in Industrial, Mechanical, or manufacturing or equivalent combination of higher degree and experience.
• Experience with MRP systems like SAP

We are looking to hire Robot Designer Engineers to join our Robotics Team. This is a position for a research-focused role towards designing, building, and prototyping ground wheeled robots. Our roadmap of planned robots includes small robots (200W x 150D x 200H mm) and large robots (1800W x 1200D x 1800H mm). These robots’ purpose is to showcase our work on cutting edge algorithmic capabilities for robots and new design paradigms for robots. Your work will involve the creation of robots from scratch and enclosures that sit atop existing off-the-shelf robot chassis platform.

This is a difficult job role that will require a mix of design, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering expertise. • Work closely with design engineers and architects to define, document and implement detailed test plans for the SoC design verification.
• Create and maintain infrastructure/environment for automation verification of SoC architecture, function and performance.
• Build reusable testbench, constrained-random/directed test cases, and verification associated behavioural modules for both block levels and system levels.
• Use regression strategy, methodology and tool scripts and measure the function coverage.
