About MyrLabs
MyrLabs is an A*STAR spin-off that creates cutting edge hardware and algorithms. The MyrLabs team consists of driven and multi-disciplinary engineers dedicated to bringing game-breaking solutions for our partners by innovating at the PCB, firmware, and software levels. We work on problems that academia fears to, cannot, or will not address. These are problems that are difficult and require multi-disciplinary efforts. Our approach focuses on the use of non-mainstream techniques to spark creativity and to solve problems in ways that are not seen before.
Job Brief
We are looking to hire Robot Designer Engineers to join our Robotics Team. This is a position for a research-focused role towards designing, building, and prototyping ground wheeled robots. Our roadmap of planned robots includes small robots (200W x 150D x 200H mm) and large robots (1800W x 1200D x 1800H mm). These robots’ purpose is to showcase our work on cutting edge algorithmic capabilities for robots and new design paradigms for robots. Your work will involve the creation of robots from scratch and enclosures that sit atop existing off-the-shelf robot chassis platform.
This is a difficult job role that will require a mix of design, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering expertise. While we do not demand for you to possess the entire skillset, you must be willing to acquire the missing skillsets over the course of your employment and commit to becoming a multi-disciplinary engineering staff.
MyrLabs’ intends to create robots that defy existing design norms. We are looking for people who are creative and have the passion to create sophisticated mechanical objects.
Responsibilities

2. Developing new ideas for robots and presenting them to the Senior Management Team
3. Sketch, CAD, and then realise/produce the concept robots
4. Work with other R&D staff to integrate sensors, computers, and other hardware on the robots
