• Ensure compliance to the Personal Data Protection Act, in the role of Data Protection Officer
• Monitor submission of invoices and ensure that high value invoices are submitted in time for payment

• Negotiate with freight forwarders for competitive rates
• Keep track of staffing requirements for the company and hire new talent as needed to correspond with specific duties and skill sets
• Identify skills gaps for all employees in the company, propose relevant training courses, negotiate with training providers and register employees for the trainings
• Do annual bench marking of employee salaries against identified competitor companies
• Arrange and monitor background screening of new employees, authorise additional charges as appropriate
• Assist in Leave administration and authorise Credit leave as per eligibility criteria

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Job purpose

To manage Project Planning, Organization and Management of the assigned design team to meet the project expectation. To perform and manage the complete design process from feasibility study and report, building code and standard compliances, concept design, design development, technical design, tender documents and procedure, construction documentation and design management during construction.

Duties and responsibilities

· Perform concept design studies, sketch plans, and criteria/facilities programs for projects as required.

· Perform technical review of drawings and required design submission on assigned projects, and to ensure conformance with company design standards.

· Innovative and cost effective design to meet company design standard.

· Represents the department to face the clients and builds positive and mutually beneficial relationships.

· Lead on communication and coordination with internal and external disciplines to ensure the complete design integration of projects.

· Track and maintain project milestones, schedule and budget.

· Conduct and participate inter-department coordination on all project related issues.

· Conduct review/approval (with participation from internal and external disciplines) of variances from company standards requested by clients on specific project requirements.

· Provide design guidance to client and their consultants, as well as internal design and construction staff to adapt company design standards.

· Conduct site visits and prepares Property Improvement Plans (PIPs).

· Maintain and update project review templates and quality control checklists.

· Provide recommendation for design changes to address customer satisfaction, operational concerns, company standard, and development strategies.

· Supervise, motivate, and trains assigned team members and external consultants where necessary.

· Assist Head of Department to maintain and develop company standard documents and work flow.

· Assist Head of Department on policy, methods, and systems support matters.

Qualifications

· Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Architecture.

· A minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in architectural design at a design firm for large commercial, and/or, residential, office building, assembly facility projects.

· A minimum of 6 years of experience in the preparation and coordination of architectural construction documents and coordination of consultants.

· Good architectural design skills, technical and project management skills.

· Good business judgment and creative problem solving attributes.

· Strong conceptual design/freehand sketching and/or digital presentation abilities.

· good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Be confident, assertive and independent.

· Possesses intermediate knowledge of applicable codes, and implications on design.

· Demonstrated success in taking projects through design review process.

· Ability to discuss and debate philosophical design issues and solve complex project issues.

· Advanced design, visual and graphic presentation skills required.

· Advanced ability to work in team environment and supervise others.
