The Department

Capital Markets IT (CMI) is the IT department within the bank focused on solutions related to Capital Markets. Main Responsibilities

As part of the IS Strategy the Principal Engineering Architect coordinates the elaboration of the IS Strategy, in partnership with the Head of IT Division and the Head of division. You ensure its consistency with the global CMI and GMD IS Strategy and its execution within CMI – led by CMI Architecture Team.

To reach this objective, you chair the Technical Community, composed of the Technical leaders of his IT Division. You will be contributing to CMI technical strategy definition as well as technical foundations. The Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC), established in 2012, is a research centre at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. LKYCIC aims to stimulate research on cities and urbanisation, and explore the role of technology, design and policy in providing urban solutions.

Within the Programme on Urban Innovation, we are seeking a full-time Research Assistant to contribute to the study of placekeeping, which involves the long-term management and maintenance of place. With a mixed-methods research approach, we will examine who the key stakeholders are in placekeeping, how they collaborate, and what facilitates or hinders their collaboration. The study aims to establish a methodology and framework that will enable the systematic investigation of placekeeping and inform future policies and practices related to placekeeping in Singapore.

About the Position:

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about placemaking, placekeeping, and community engagement in urban planning and design and is looking to gain experience for a future career in research.

Capital Markets IT (CMI) is the IT department within the bank focused on solutions related to Capital Markets. This includes Front Office (FO) booking platforms, Risk Management (RM) control and regulatory reporting systems, financial product and contract valuation systems, and much more. • At least 12+ years of experience in Information Technology arena with demonstrated experience around strategic planning, enterprise architecture preferably in banking & financial services, risk management and software engineering.
• Experienced in leading technical design from inception to proof of concept
• Good knowledge of strategic IT solutions and hands-on experience in software development.
• A strong understanding of latest programming languages including Python, Java, Rust and Go
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with strong fundamentals in complexity analysis
• Experience in platform and/or product definition, operating model and change management
• Strong ability to analyze code – understand execution flow & debug even
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, MLOps and tooling

Requirements:

• A Bachelors degree from reputable university.
• Qualifications or work experience in psychology, cognitive science, or healthcare in elderly population is preferred.
• Equipment with research skills, such as literature review, conducting experiments, basic statistical analysis, report write-up, etc., is preferred.
• Experience in qualitative study research, including data collection and audio transcription is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• To assist and work closely with the research team SUTD PI and Research Fellow in managing and coordinating all matters in the project
• To arrange and schedule experiment/interview appointments with university students, healthy elderly participants, elderly care centres, or other target population
• To undertake data collection, data entry, data analysis, etc.
• Assist in the preparation and writing of progress reports, presentations, and abstracts to conferences.
• To undertake and support administrative work, such as procurement and purchasing laboratory items, liaising with relevant internal and external parties, etc.
• Any other duties assigned by the research team
