Job Description

• The Design Engineer is responsible for day-to-day design and engineering activities.
• He/She shall handle design independently and take up responsibilities to deal various for authorities like BCA/CSC, ST and follow up with site until Top/ CSC.
• He/She shall attend project meetings with other consultants /clients / authorities.
• He/She shall be responsible to site design issues and site visits.
• He/She has spent significant years on the job and acquitted technical knowledge and skills relating to the design of residential, industrial and infra structures related projects.
• The Design Engineers expertise is essential to his/ her responsibilities to provide technical guidance to his/her team and lead projects of oderate complexity or less routine in nature.
• The design Engineer should have knowledge on Euro Code regulations.
• Should have knowledge on concrete and steel structural design
• Should able to work in STAADPro
• Willing to work late hours and site offices are required and Go site visit along with PE and supervise activities on requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review & understand all tender & contract documents for new fit- out works
• Quantity take off and pricing base on standard market rates
• Prepare checklists, cost analysis & recommendations for tender submission
• Post contract variation evaluation & management
• Attend tender site show round & and provide briefing notes
• Review & prepare M&E costs for miscellaneous works
• Roll out, evaluate M&E subcontractors quotation and prepare report
• Review subcontractor claim and prepare payment recommendation
• Material sourcing and its procurement activities
• Manage, liaise and finalise with subcontractor for variation order and closure
• Attend to Ad-hoc assignment when required

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least relevant qualification such as Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical) or its equivalent.
• Required language(s): English
• At least 2 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): Client/Consultant Management
• Preferably Senior Executive specialized in Engineering – Mechanical & Electrical.

• Examine Structural Drawings provided by consultants.
• Support the Design Manager in overseeing consultants during both the Tender stage and Site implementation phase.
• Conduct initial structural design analysis / conceptual design to aid in Tender costing. Aid the project and operation teams in resolving structural design challenges.
• Ensure adherence to design procedures in accordance with the OHSQ Management System.
• Plan and manage design tasks and schedules to ensure timely and accurate production and approval of shop drawings.
• Communicate with clients regarding design details of shop drawings and suggest alternatives when necessary.

Requirement:

• Minimum 5 years experiences in shop drawings preparation for large scale projects.
• Candidate must prossess Professional Engineers Board recognized Degree in Civil/Structure Engineering with relevant design working experience
• Familiar with Auto CAD software and knowledge in BIM software will be an added advantage
