• Establish the detailed list of materials for each project, ensure their availability and liaise with the purchase department to order what is necessary.

• Plan all preparation works to be carried out in the workshop, assign the adequate teams and equipment to the worksites to complete works as scheduled and to avoid delays.

• Oversee the day-to-day progress of on-going projects.

• Identify any risk or problem and promptly respond by proposing and implementing corrective measures.

• Allocate the site supervisors, workers, materials and equipment effectively and efficiently to ensure the smooth completion of the projects and to avoid any delay.

• Ensure all works are performed in accordance with the prevailing safety and quality standards.

• Attend meetings with clients, architects, engineers, site supervisors and suppliers.

• Perform all the inspection and commissioning activities up to the hand-over of the project.

• Prepare frequent progress report to the management, assist the quantity surveyor for the claim reports.

• Monitor all changes to specifications and work scope and liaise with Quantity Surveyor to issue variation order.

• Manage all site document filing and record keeping and issue an end of project report.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering/Building or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industry.

• Well organised and capable of efficient planification.

• Problem solving and communication skills.

• Professionalism and technical competency.

• Familiarity with the procedures of projects in construction and with the health and safety legislation at worksite.

• Fluent oral and written English.

• 5.5 days per week.

• Class 3 driving license preferred.

Job Description:

• Preparation of tender submission and ensuring that tender submission is in order
• Preparation and following up on progress claims, progress certification, variation orders and settlement of final account with main-contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain records, tracking and submission of all variation orders
• Sourcing, negotiation and evaluation of quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers through preparation of price comparison
• Prepare Works Order/Letter of Award to sub-contractors and suppliers
• Able to work closely with whole tender team and carry out management’s direction
• Attend meetings/site meetings
• To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs
• To assist in site materials ordering
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management
