Job Description
-Constructing or facilitating the assembly of mechanical systems and components.
-Evaluating functionality of mechanical systems through testing.
-Rectifying equipment breakdowns by troubleshooting.
-Identifying, devising, and implementing effective solutions to emerging and existing issues.
-Assessing the overall performance, reliability, and safety of final products based on specifications and standards.
-Adapting and adjusting designs to meet requirements and resolve malfunctions.
-Executing a diverse array of engineering tasks using computer-aided design or engineering tools.
-Ensuring adherence to standards and client specifications by generating electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
-Overseeing compliance with specifications, codes, or client requirements by managing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
-Generating documents such as Method of Statements (MOS) and Requests for Information (RFI).
-Compiling regular reports (weekly, monthly) on project progress and completion.
-Guaranteeing all plans comply with governmental health, safety regulations, trade requirements, and industry standards.
-Providing direction and leadership to contractor teams and executing operations or project tasks.
-Developing work schedules, planning project phases, conducting presentations, and monitoring task progress.
-Performing other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
-Demonstration of excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with leadership abilities to influence others.
-Possession of strong analytical skills and efficiency, capable of independent work.
-Hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from accredited universities recognized by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
-Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a marine construction or general construction company is advantageous.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD software.
-Availability to commence work immediately or with short notice.
