The IT Level 1 Support Role is to ensure smooth system operation and functionality so that end users can accomplish business tasks. The objective of the IT Level 1 Support Role will be to respond to support requests in a timely manner, be the initial reference point for all IT support issues, and to ensure the satisfaction of the end user, among other technical duties.

IT Level 1 Support are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments, executive levels and customers daily.

IT Level 1 Support Responsibilities:

• Provide helpdesk support to end-users through appropriate communication and responsive services
• Troubleshoot and support issues related to domain, servers, end terminals, COTS application, and network
• Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
• Use tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests.
• Document all reported incidents and service requests
• Assist and train users to improve the user experience
• Assist in the deployment of hardware for customer events at designated locations
• Support customer’s events which may require some days of shift work
• Carry out patching of firmware and cyber security patches for hardware eg servers, routers, switches, as well as COTS patches
• Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date.

IT Level 1 Support Responsibilities:

· Minimally with Diploma in IT or with a relevant course.

· Knowledge in Windows server OS, Linux OS in a virtual environment would be an advantage

· Knowledge in network switches/routers would be an advantage

· Excellent written and verbal communication to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation.
• Conduct regular inspections and monitors the performance of the electrical and mechanical equipment supporting the facility critical operations.
• Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance are done according to the approved MOS and RA and manage appointed vendor.
• The maintenance records are to be fully filled, reviewed and hardcopies signed off.
• Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance records for preventive and corrective maintenance, including service reports and checklists from vendors.
• Ensure all documents are readily available for audit.
• Raise change request and submit to Customer Service Team for submission in Customer system.
• Prepare and update the list of licenses and its expiry date.
• Ensure timely renewal of all statutory and regulatory licenses.
• Provide in-depth hands-on troubleshooting of faulty system.
• Schedule monthly vendor evaluation and support the stakeholders in Customer in the review of vendors.
• Ensure critical spare parts are stocked up and accountable for.
• Inform the stakeholders in Customer if restocking is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with at least five (5) years of post-graduation working experience or diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent with at least ten (10) years of post-graduation working experience.

Preferred Skills

• Must be experience in managing data centre, semiconductor, oil and gas or other critical facilities.
• Must be experience in handling HT/LT electrical system and equipment like UPS, DRUPS, HT/LT switchboard, control & monitoring system and power quality monitoring system.
• Have knowledge and experience in handling mechanical and fire protection system like CRAU, FCU, AHU, chillers, gas suppression system, pre-action and wet sprinkler /VESDA will be a plus point.
• Conversant in data centre setup and have a good understanding on the control & monitoring systems, mechanical and electrical engineering systems.
• Able to draw, read and understand M&E drawings.
• Good communication and people management skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• To provide after sales service to customers
• Existing and new customers base and leads shall be given
• To propose new maintenance contracts or maintain existing ones by following up closely with clients including spare parts replacement
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
