Optimizing the performance of health systems is essential to ensuring the wellbeing and longevity of populations worldwide. Singapore is particularly well placed to lead research in this field as its health system has been consistently ranked as one of the best in the world based in independent evaluation with the Global Burden of Disease data. The new Centre for Research in Health Systems Performance (CRiHSP) aims to advance research in this area within the Yon Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS) as the leading centre for research in health systems in Asia. CRiHSP will be composed of a multidisciplinary team of researchers in health systems (health services and policy researchers, data scientists, social scientists, and others), and administrators. CRiHSP is collaborating with the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) at NUHS, which was established in 2017 with the aim of supporting the Division of Family Medicine within the Yon Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore (NUS). DFM’s multidisciplinary team of clinicians, researcher, medical educators, and administrators works towards the common goals of achieving achieve excellence in Family Medicine education, research and practice. Job Description

NUS offers highly competitive remuneration packages. Purpose of the Post

CRiHSP is hiring a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to contribute to a research project employing mixed-methods for the development of methods for measuring patient reported outcome measures in the population of Singapore based on the efficient application of Natural Language Processing and Item Response Theory to existing measurement systems working under the project Principal Investigator (PI), CRiHSP Director, Prof Jose M Valderas. The successful candidate will report the Senior Research Fellow responsible for the project. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate will have the following duties:

• Contribution to the management of research activities including grant and IRB/DSRB applications, budgeting, planning and monitoring project timelines and generally support project management and coordination and liasing with internal and external stakeholders

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with relevant authorities and/or parties to ensure a swift and effective response to any such emergencies.

6. Budget Management:

• Collaborate with the management team to develop and manage the technical services budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.

7. Compliance and Regulations:

• Key personnel in liaison with relevant authorities for all types of inspections and/or approvals, ensuring the technical systems and the structures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

8. Vendor and Contractor Relations:

• Manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors providing technical services or equipment to the park without compromising on integrity.
• Negotiate contracts, oversee service agreements, and evaluate the performance of third-party service providers.

9. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, manuals and drawings, etc.

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow in the Sleep and Health Laboratory, Centre for Sleep and Cognition, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (https://sites.google.com/site/sleepandhealthlab/home). Research at the Sleep and Health Laboratory focuses on the importance of sleep in cognitive, mental, and physical health. Appointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.

Purpose of the post

The successful candidate will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the various studies on time. The Research Fellow’s principal role will be to work in study management, data collection and analyses, as well as manuscript and report writing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Fellow will need to:

1. oversee the general management of studies;
2. undertake the day to day running of the various studies, e.g. data collection in the laboratory and the field;
3. process and analyse data;
4. prepare articles for publication in academic journals;
5. assist in preparing funding proposals, as well as both progress and final reports of the studies;
6. coordinate research across research groups both within and beyond Singapore;
7. maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures;
8. assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1. have a PhD in Psychology, Behavioural Science, or a related discipline;
