Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Satellite Engineer with at least five years of professional hands-on experience in nano-satellite design, development, and deployment. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to conduct training programs in nano-satellite engineering for youth and professionals. This role involves both technical development and educational outreach, ensuring participants gain practical skills in satellite design, assembly, and operation.

Key Responsibilities

1) Training Program Development and Delivery

• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on nano-satellite building, covering topics such as:

a) Systems engineering

b) Subsystems (power, communication, attitude control, etc.)

c) Payload integration

d) Satellite testing and deployment protocols

• Develop instructional materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on projects, to suit various audience levels (youth, professionals, and educators).
• Conduct hands-on workshops and labs, guiding participants through real-world nano-satellite assembly and testing activities.
• Collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and space agencies to expand training opportunities and resources.
• Other Topics outside of Nano-Satellite Engineering that would be good to cover:

a) Space mission design and planning

b) Principles of Space Engineering and Applications

c) Project Management in Space

2)Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate training program outcomes through feedback, assessments, and participant performance.

Qualifications and Skills

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in nano-satellite development, including design, integration, and testing.
• Strong understanding of satellite subsystems, including power systems, communications, payload integration, and attitude determination and control.
• Proficiency with satellite design tools (e.g., STK, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Experience with satellite testing equipment and procedures, including vibration testing, thermal testing, and deployment mechanisms.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Experienced in conducting training programmes for youths, undergraduates and professionals

The Artability Trainer is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing visual art training services under the Artability program. This role involves conducting engaging visual art training sessions for students across all three Rainbow Centre SPED schools, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge for meaningful artistic expression. The Trainer will employ innovative teaching methods tailored to diverse learning needs, ensuring effective lesson delivery.

Additionally, the Artability Trainer will manage projects that provide students with valuable learning opportunities, including art exhibitions, roadshows, galleries, and workshops. Collaboration with school teams, caregivers, and other Rainbow Centre units, such as the Advocacy and Community Engagement (ACE) team, is essential for promoting student artworks for advocacy purposes.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Delivery of Visual Art Training

• Conduct Pre-Admission Assessments: Assess students' strengths, interests, and potential barriers to participation in visual art training services under Artability.
• Build Rapport with Students: Establish trusting relationships with students to understand their unique aspirations and life experiences, recognizing how these factors influence their artistic development.
• Formulate Person-Centric Training Plans: Develop individualized training plans that address each student’s specific support and learning needs, focusing on nurturing their talents and fostering a distinctive artistic style

Student Engagement and Support

• Provide individualized support and guidance to students, addressing their unique needs and abilities.
• Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to integrate visual art into students' overall development plans.

Project Management

• Organize and manage art-related projects, including exhibitions, workshops, and community events, to provide students with real-world exposure.
• Coordinate logistics for art shows, including venue selection, setup, and promotion of student artworks.

Collaboration and Advocacy

• Work closely with the Advocacy and Community Engagement (ACE) team to showcase student artworks and promote awareness of their capabilities.

Key requirements:

• Degree holder minimum or a good Diploma in Education, Special Education, Design and/or Art
• Candidates without formal training in art but with portfolios of visual art are also welcomed.

Requirement:

· Relevant experience work experience in the area of specialisation

Reporting to the Head, you will provide therapy intervention such as exercise program, modalities treatment and supervision to (cancer) rehabilitation clients who are undergoing rehabilitation in our Cancer Rehabilitation Centre and affiliated community gyms operated by SCS’ partners. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to manage the rehabilitation journey of (cancer) patients and survivors who enrolled with SCS cancer rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deployed in SCS cancer rehabilitation or partner gyms in the community to provide the following to assigned clients enrolled in cancer rehab services:

• Organize, develop, support, and deliver inclusive and sustainable cancer exercise program for cancer patients. These patients may have a range of medical conditions impacting both physical and mental health
• Continued guidance on exercises and use of exercise equipment, optimize benefits and prevent injury
• Monitor and assess client’s functional status
• Offer information, advice, and guidance to individuals on exercise and physical activity issues particularly in relation to people with long term cancer treatment side effects or those requiring additional support/ motivation to exercise.
• Conduct group exercise or relevant sports activities to enhance and maintain fitness and wellbeing of clients
• Work closely with therapists to provide feedback on client’s progress and receive instructions on interventions.
• Assist Head in planning and executing appropriate Sport SG and other SCS initiatives.
• Develop relevant patient education materials for cancer patients
• Participate in outreaching activities such as World Cancer Day, or cancer exercise related domains such as research
• To ensure all administration, inventory, monitoring, and evaluation is completed fully and accurately within deadlines

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Healthcare related or equivalent
• Certification as Exercise Physiologist with a relevant organisation(s) (e.g. ACSM, ESSA, CSEP) will be useful
• Good coaching skills to guide clients on exercise programmes
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to effectively and empathetically listen, interact and communicate with patients and families from varied backgrounds
