About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Gallery Management Officer (GMO) to ensure smooth operations and maintenance of the exhibits at the SSG. The GMO will manage the gallery's daily activities, troubleshoot any defects, coordinate events, and ensure a seamless experience for all visitors. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and safety of the gallery spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
● Supervise maintenance contractors and ensure all maintenance services are properly executed.
● Troubleshoot general defects in the Gallery and Boardroom, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.
● Conduct daily inspections and submit reports on any defects, safety hazards, or other concerns in the gallery.
● Manage the visit and meeting schedule for the Boardroom and Screening Room.
● Prepare and set up logistics for programmes, events, and activities.
● Conduct weekly checks and maintain housekeeping for all store areas.
● Liaise with exhibitors and event organisers on layout plans, set-up schedules, and PTW submissions.
● Conduct pre- and post-handover inspections with exhibitors and event organisers.
● Implement or update safety checklists for all gallery activities.
● Maintain and update the Safety Operation Procedures for the gallery.
● Set up function rooms for meetings and visits, including name tents, beverages, and writing materials.
● Assist in all special and high-level visits.
● Collate and archive VVIP visit photos onto the Board’s hard disk.
● Conduct hourly site inspections to ensure visitor safety and assist with crowd control when needed.
● Handle enquiries related to gallery tours and activities.
● Schedule stand-in duties to manage the gallery entrance when required.
Job Requirements:
● Minimum of 1 year of experience in gallery management or a related field.
● Diploma qualification in Engineering, Facilities, or Event Management.
● Obtain First-Aid and AED certification within two months from the start of deployment.
● Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Contract Details:
● Job Commencement Date: 1st January 2025.
● This is a contract-based position.
● The contract terms, including salary and benefits, will be discussed during the interview process.
Additional Information:
● The GMO will work closely with the Visitor Relations team and report to the relevant department.
● This role may require working on weekends or outside normal office hours as needed.
Remuneration Package:
● From $2500 per month
