The Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) aims to pioneer the development and discovery of new and more effective methods for the treatment, prevention and control of new and emerging pathogens. A research assistant position is available, and the successful candidate will be closely involved in the collaboration project work between hospitals/industries and the laboratory. The duties and responsibilities will include the following: -

• Perform tasks and support the team in scientific projects.

Job Requirements

• Possess good tissue culture techniques and familiarity with cell isolation techniques would be advantageous.
• Have prior experience in growing and maintaining both cell lines and primary human cells in culture.
• Prior experience in performing T-cell assays such as Elispot, cell staining and flow cytometry.
• Possess good multi-colour flow cytometry skills. Able to operate flow cytometer and analyse flow cytometry data using flow cytometry analysis software such as FlowJO/Kaluza.
