Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the fire protection team (consisting of 1 Assistant Engineer, 3 Technical Officers & 4 workers)
• Develop and implement fire protection strategies, standards, and policies in line with industry regulations.
  Create fire protection plans by working closely with other departments and contractors
• Design and execute fire safety training programs for facility staff and workers.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance.
• Stay abreast of developments in fire protection systems, codes, and standards. Ensure the team remains updated on best practices.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and other stakeholders to guarantee compliance with codes and regulations.
• Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems & also to ensure all fire protection systems are in good working condition
• Develop and monitor budgets, providing regular reports to the Director of Facilities Management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Facilities, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Preferably with a minimum of 3 or 5 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on fire protection.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, principles, codes, and standards is advantageous.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.

• Plan, schedule and ensure all mechanical maintenance work orders
• Undertake periodic job rotation assignments within Maintenance Department.
• Ensure that technicians and contractors comply with all EHS protocol, statutory regulations, and standard work/operating procedures.
• Perform maintenance on all critical and statutory equipment according to regulations and ensure quality of maintenance work conform to specifications.
• Identify and analyze the root cause of the malfunctions and breakdown of equipment
• Ensure maintenance records are properly archived in computerized maintenance management system.
• Report any deviations to EHS protocol, statutory regulations, and standard work/operating procedures.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering with minimum 2 year of relevant experience in Chemical or Process Plant environment or Diploma in Mechanical with 5 to 6 yrs of experience
• Knowledge of all plant process equipment construction, assembly, and function.
• Able to operate the Computerized Maintenance Management System application for job planning, scheduling, and purchases
