Middleware Administration

• Responsible for providing technical services to support environment provisioning, software integration and projects from deployment planning, setup & testing, pre-production readiness to production cutover;
• Hands-on experience on Middleware technologies such as Webserver Apache, IIS, WebLogic, JAVA & .NET based Application server, SSO server, Scheduling and Enterprise Backup;
• Responsible for software upgrades and patching ensuring that the platforms are performing to their potential & meet security compliance;
• Collaborate with Cyber Security and identify solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities in the web and middleware infrastructure;
• Developing and maintaining infrastructure/process logs, documentation, process metrics and capacity trending will be part of the daily activities;
• Participate in 24/7 support by acting as an escalation point for any production issues;
• Responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of middleware systems. This may involve diagnosing and resolving issues related to scalability, throughput, latency, and overall system efficiency.
• Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical support;
• Stay current with trends and incorporate emerging technology to benefit the platform for on premise and cloud solutions;

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of Middleware support experience, preferably in large-scale government projects;
• Candidate with strong infrastructure/technical background with knowledge on message-oriented applications in cloud-native architecture will have an advantage;
• Strong understanding of high-availability architectures. Hands-on experience in Clustering, Load Balancing and failover management;
• Work under minimal supervision and take ownership of middleware incidents end to end
• A good working knowledge in UNIX-platform based Web-App administration is a must;
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and team management skills.

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Migration Engineer) to join us!

• Work with Agency IT on the IT onboarding and enablement of Agencies' endpoint to the central architecture in a phased approach, ensuring a smooth transition for each agency.
• Work closely with Agency IT to whitelist network access for applications, including network configuration changes, connectivity testing, troubleshooting, and integration with SSO, to ensure seamless integration to the central architecture.
• Work with Agency IT on the device provisioning process using Windows Autopilot and coordinate the central provisioning of laptops, if applicable.
• Work with Agency IT to troubleshoot app packaging issues and ensure the compatibility and functionality of the applications on the new endpoint solution.

Requirements

• Comfortable with a 1.5-year direct contract
• At least 5 years of experience in the above domain areas
• Proven track record of large-scale ICT migration projects, particularly in the deployment of endpoint, end user services, or security solutions.
• Good understanding of endpoint management, endpoint security, and network solutions including Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, M365 services, Entra ID, SSE technologies, DNS, and network architecture.
• Experience in network troubleshooting for endpoints and applications.
• Candidate who can start work within short notice is preferred.

As part of the IT Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for enterprise data backup protection and to optimized end-to-end Enterprise backup operations to support the digitalisation requirements of MPA. In addition, you will:

• Ensure that IT infrastructure projects are implemented within schedule, in accordance to the requirements, quality and security standards of the Authority and Whole of Government (WOG).
• Manage the day-to-day Storage and enterprise backup administration
• Identify, explore and introduce new technologies for better scalability, resiliency and performance of the IT infrastructure, while ensuring a sustainable and lower cost of ownership of the IT infrastructure.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (Windows, VMware, Nutanix and UNIX/Linux servers)
• Manage and support Storage systems, including patch management remediation, capacity planning, configuration management, provisioning and zoning of new servers on SAN switches.
• Installation, configuring and troubleshooting of Windows Servers, MS Failover Cluster, Veritas Storage system & Hitachi SAN
• Troubleshooting of VERITAS NetBackup and SAN issues
• Analyse backup software performance and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for backup failures
• Monitor usage and performance of storage and perform capacity planning for storage growth
• Manage storage and backup changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
• Respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated
• Manage backup replication and data movements during activities such as disaster recovery
• Perform regular DR (Disaster Recovery) test plan of backup data restoration and storage replication availability.
• Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties
• Manage the technology refresh plan to ensure software and hardware compliance
• Responsible for performing Backup ad-hoc operational tasks and maintaining availability at the POCC sites.
• Ensure compliance with internal Quality Management System and Government IM8 and CSA requirements for IT and cybersecurity.
• Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers and users to ensure technical compatibility on infrastructure and application systems integration and user satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in storage and backup administration in large or complex environment.
• Strong knowledge in Veritas Netbackup / Veeam / Dell Tape Library / Hitachi VSP, HUSVM, Brocade and Cisco SAN switches
• Knowledge in OS Windows / Linux / UNIX / Virtualization platform / SQL databases
• Experience in tapeless backup solution to Cloud will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work with outsourced service providers and product principals to manage the delivery, operations as well as Tech Refresh for Microsoft suite of services:o Microsoft 365 (such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online,Teams, Viva etc.)

o Dynamics 365 including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Platform

o MS Enterprise Mobility Suite (Intune, MCAS Azure Information Protection)

o Microsoft Entra (configuring and setting up the synchronisation of on-premise AD with

Microsoft Entra ID, federation services)

o Other Microsoft products such as Stream, Telephony services.

• Ensure the operations process and controls are clearly documented and operationalised
• Plan, design and support Technology Refresh and migration activities for the infrastructure services.
• Ensure smooth service delivery and implementation within the business context.
• Understand technical, quality management and security guidelines and policies and ensure operations processes and supporting systems comply with these policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

· Work with Product Owners and Product Principals to implement and support EID devices to authenticate and access to M356 apps and onboarded enterprise apps

· Conduct system health check and proactively identify and troubleshoot issue in end-to-end manner.

· Manage the change, release, incident, problem management processes in ITSM platform.

· Document processes and configurations for knowledge base and FAQ for agencies to self service.

Requirements:

· Previous success with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and governance processes. Candidate should be well-versed in Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Enterprise Applications, Conditional Access Policy management, MFA, and SSO

· Experienced in deploying, configuring and troubleshooting the EntraID authentication and access for federated login with on-prem Active Directory and ADFS and cloud login.

· Experienced in modern authentication protocol such as OIDC, SAML, Sign-in methods (WHFB, MFA, cert/key-based) to support the devices, users and application access.

· Candidate who can automate routine tasks related to Entra ID management. They should be able to write scripts, automate user provisioning, and streamline
processes.
