What is the job?

As Assistant Engineer, you’ll ensure all aspects of hotel maintenance and management are kept to the very best standards and in line with all relevant health and safety legislature and procedures. You’ll also keep an organised and secure maintenance shop.

Your day to day

Financial Returns

• Assist in managing departmental labor and expenses. Provide input into the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget.

Guest Experience

• Understand and respond to customers’ needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction
• Carry out a preventive maintenance programme to ensure the hotel is maintained and in service for guests (example: lighting, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, water treatment systems, and pools)

• Facilitate and coordinate maintenance team in all daily facilities maintenance issues and meet contractual obligations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for the production process.
• Develop work procedures, implement corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to reduce equipment downtime.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and analyze defects.
• Coordinate with customers to discuss product quality.
• Perform any other assigned ad-hoc duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related Engineering discipline
• Knowledge in sputtering coating technology
• Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving skills
• Good working attitude and willing to learn
• Candidates with experience in chemical processing will also be considered

Summary:

• Equipment set up for various systems, installation, conduct testing & commissioning

• Follow up with clients in a timely manner

• Assist sales team with site survey & system design

• Provide support and manage project

• Perform troubleshooting & repair / replace faulty parts

• Provide onsite support to diagnose and rectify technical issue

• Ad hoc duties as required

Additional Information:

• Relevant educational qualifications in Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Mechatronic or engineering field or equivalent working experience

• Able work independently and with other both indoor and outdoor locations

• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

• Effective interpersonal skills for working in a team environment

• Able to work with deadlines and pressure

• Experience in cabling & installation and maintenance

• Good working attitude and self-motivated

Night shift ( 5 work day per week )

9pm – 6am
