Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage a team of 5 to 8 software engineers in the development and implementation of core product features.

· Collaborate closely with the Growth Product Manager and business owner to align engineering efforts with business goals.

Requirements:

· At least 3 years experience leading an engineering team, preferably with remote team set-up

· Have at least 7 years of experience in back-end development, preferably using .NET Core.

· Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.

· Have amber knowledge on micro-service architecture, cloud services, containers and message queues.

· Have good knowledge working with various types of databases including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB etc.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Familiarity with the EdTech industry and understanding of educational technology trends is a plus.

· Preferably have hands on experience working with latest AI technologies and models

· Preferably bilingual in English and Mandarin (as we have a team in Taiwan)

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Engineering Degree, preferably in Naval Architecture
• At least 15 years of experience in the offshore & marine industry
• At least 12 years of experience in marine engineering/design
• At least 5 years in managerial capacity
• High problem-solving skills with experience in managing contractors and engineers
• Proficient in ship-design software
• Excellent communicator in bot written and spoken English
• Candidates with knowledge in OSV designs will have added advantage

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• To assist Project Manager on the day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractor.
• Liaising with authorities, client's representatives, main contractor, sub-contractors and consultants.
• Checking and ensuring all plans and work are as per specifications.
• Resolving and technical difficulties and problem that may arise on site.
• Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Possess valid Class 3 driving license / willing to obtain a Driving License
• Proactive and responsible.
