As a member of the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering  Team, you are responsible for applying skills and exercising knowledge to perform specified support functions. Desirable Skills and Experience

As a Sr. Manager in the engineering team (Developers & Functional Testers), you will be reporting to the Engineering Sr Director who is the CT&C ART Technical Business Owner. Your focus will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of a team roughly of size 6 to start with, who will report directly to you. The team would comprise of engineers ranging from fresh college graduates to senior experienced professionals with close to 4-6 or even more years of relevant experience.

The engineers design, build and enhance solutions meant for our customers in an agile, fast-paced environment. You will be working with colleagues across the company, who will help support and challenge you every day. Designing solutions, writing code, unit testing code, developing test cases, automating test cases and frequent check-ins for continuous integration is part of the DNA of this engineering team. Our team, as well as our group works under the principles of a common engineering model with both development and test automation expertise. Position Summary:

The Technical Project Manager, or known as Engineering Delivery Manager within Thales, is responsible for leading his team to the completion of engineering tasks within committed budgets, schedules, quality and performance for successful bids and projects delivery. He coordinates and monitors the implementation of all engineering tasks throughout the whole life cycle of a bid/project.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure engineering activities are well managed within constraints of bids/projects, approved architecture, design policy, contracts, and company quality requirements.
• Lead collaborative discussion and co-engineering between internal teams, vendors and customers to analyse, prioritise and validate stakeholders' requirements.
• Ensure that engineering scope, plans and activities satisfy customer requirements, and are delivered on time, on budget and with the required quality.
• Work closely with Design Authority to oversee and approve the outcome of evaluation studies on design alternatives, and to provide advice to both the customer and internal technical teams.
• Through broad consultation, ensure the production of the required documentation in support of the project, to the satisfaction of the customer and internal senior management.
• Liaise with customers on technical, architectural and procedural issues as required, ensure that scope creep is avoided.
• Define the engineering work breakdown structure, project organisation structure, tasks schedule, engineering KPIs, and associated engineering tasks. Tailor as required and ensure all baseline requirements are met.
• Define the strategy for development, build increments, validation, and project commissioning.
• Follow up closely on defined KPIs and ensure issues discovered (such as risks of changes, schedule, anomalies, etc) are addressed promptly according to different project phases.
• Perform periodic reporting to internal senior management and customer according to Thales methodology (Chorus) and common methods such as SAFe/SCRUM.
• Ensure the implementation of multi-project synergies and lessons learnt, in order to optimize cost of technical solutions.
• Manage engineering risks & opportunities during bids and project phase, guarantees programme commitments, including those flown down to subcontractors and partners.
• Optimise technical work against costs, schedule and risks from design to validation and acceptance of the solution.
• Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed, in conjunction with the functional Engineering Head or Director.
• Manages Work Package Managers (WPM) and Integration Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) Manager to ensure successful completion of respective milestones.
• Other duties as directed by the Project Manager or functional Engineering Head.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• Experience working within a Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Senior Engineering role
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience in IT/security/C2/defence related projects from a Systems Engineering perspective
• Good knowledge on how large projects are managed
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Strong liaison and stakeholders management skills
• Strong motivation to be involved in all phases of a project life cycle, from bids to project completion

Desirable Requirements:

• Membership of relevant professional organisation, e.g. INCOSE, Institution of Engineers, etc.

• Oversee maintenance and instrumentation activities in manufacturing plants to ensure safe and smooth operations.
• Coordinate and execute major field maintenance projects, prioritizing worker safety and facility integrity.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to plant operations.
• Conduct instrumentation application studies and modify plant facilities to align with technical specifications and business requirements.
• Conduct training sessions for staff and contractors to enhance their skills and competencies.
• Implement management systems based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and SS506 standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power/Energy Modules.
• Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI) is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff across different functions and contractors. A spirit of collaboration and teamwork is essential.

As a Sr. Engineering Manager in the engineering team (Developers & Functional Testers), you will be reporting to the Engineering Sr Director of DPS Forward and VTC SG Team. Your focus will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of a team roughly of size 7 to start with, who will report directly to you. The team would comprise of engineers ranging from fresh college graduates to senior experienced professionals with close to 4-6 or even more years of relevant experience.

The engineers design, build and enhance solutions meant for our customers in an agile, fast-paced environment. You will be working with colleagues across the company, who will help support and challenge you every day. Designing solutions, writing code, unit testing code, developing test cases, automating test cases and frequent check-ins for continuous integration is part of the DNA of this engineering team. You will see your team’s code going to production in just a few weeks and used by strategic accounts worldwide. Our team, as well as our group works under the principles of a common engineering model with both development and testing expertise. You are expected to have hands-on experience and sufficient knowledge to guide the engineers and unblock them as needed on an on-going basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Actively oversee developer activities for feature development and bug fixing and ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality, secure code.
• Review high and low level design of new systems as well as enhancements / defect fixing that the team undertakes and provide input / proper guidance as needed.
