As a Partner Engineer Specialist in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, you will work closely with partner development managers and partner engineers to grow and support the Google Cloud Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence partner ecosystem. You will understand the technical solutions and capabilities of our partners and recommend the right partner to our customers.

In this role, you will lead all the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence efforts to enable partners and with technical knowledge in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies and solutions. You will contribute to customer adoption of Google Cloud by supporting partners as they illustrate how Google Cloud Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence services can help customers innovate, bring their services to market faster, differentiate, and create new business growth streams. You will help partners succeed in the proof-of-concept, data migration, application migration and deployment phase.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enable partners in prototyping and demonstrating product integrations and guiding customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments. Support the partners developing solutions ensuring best use of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Work with partner managers and partner engineers to identify and recruit partners in the market that can deliver innovative and complete solutions to our customers.
• Onboard partners to the marketplace and empower them to drive a pilot, proof-of-concept or production workloads.
• Collaborate with partners to develop GCP specific solution documentation, joint technical articles, webinars, whitepapers, demos with ISV product and also recommend/review integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
• Promote the partner with account teams and develop partner relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud architecture in a partner-facing or support role.
• Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
• Experience in designing and building architectures and migration of workloads to cloud environments.
• Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in building strategic business partnerships.
• Experience working with partners and customers as architect or delivery roles providing solutions.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Korean fluently to engage and support Mandarin or Korean speaking customers to navigate industry standards.

• Work with partners to identify and qualify customer business opportunities for Oracle/DB2 migrations and new Google native databases. Understand key customer business and technical issues, and develop strategies and solutions to support their implementations.
• Inspire partners and peers to solve difficult problems with ambitious and novel solutions, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating technical resources.
• Help our partner ecosystem design the target architecture and the migration strategy minimizing the migration effort, risk, and downtime.
• Engage with partners to help them demonstrate and prototype migration from Oracle/ DB2 into our Google Cloud database offerings in customer/partner environments, and travel to customer sites, conferences and other related events as needed.
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in a partner-facing role, in an enterprise business and database administration role, delivering technical presentations and live demonstrations to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Experience designing and migration of workloads to cloud environments, including enterprise wide Oracle/DB2 to PostgreSQL, MYSQL, NOSQL databases.
• Experience with Schema/Code conversion tools, zero downtime migration, regression testing, and automation tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience delivering cloud-based solutions for enterprise customers with experience with distributed systems, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Technical sales or professional consulting experience in systems integration, large--scale data transfer/management, and enterprise database performance.
• Understanding of databases and data technologies, including Oracle database technologies, PL/SQL development, administration and management tools, database performance tuning techniques and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing external partners/customers; ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience effectively.

Position Summary :

In anticipation of future bids and projects in Defence and Public Security sectors, Engineering Department requires system engineers who has a track record of building, deploying and maintaining the IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment. Domain knowledge in enterprise data networks and/or cybersecurity is desirable.

The System Engineer is to assist with IT infrastructure solutions according to project requirements and drive transformation for internal/external customers by adopting established platforms. He/She will be involved with the requirements gathering, preparation of proposals, and conduct of presentations to customers or system owners. Upon confirmation of projects, he/she is expected to take on an active role in the definition, procurement, deployment and operations of the necessary IT infrastructure covering but not limited to server hardware, virtualisation middleware, operating system and backup solution etc. Where necessary, he/she may be tasked to support data networking initiatives, cybersecurity implementations and other COTS deployment depending on his/her technical background and interests.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities :

· Assist project or team leads in evaluating and recommending the appropriate IT infrastructure products (commercial or open source) that will meet project or customer requirements

· Take charge or support the deployment of said products, including integration and testing activities at the System-as-a-whole level

· Work with engineers from other disciplines (e.g. software, cybersecurity, integration) in the delivery of turn-key systems or proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives

· Monitor the health of infrastructure services and perform availability management for servers and its services, and assist in the resolution of operational issues

· Create & maintain technical documentation on Operations / Audit Best Practices, troubleshooting & related solutions knowledge base

· Manage the system recovery process (backup/restore of Infrastructure services and critical production server data and image) and assist in preparing incident reports in the event of outages

· Participate in failover or disaster recovery exercises of the IT infrastructure when required

· Deploy security fixes on Infrastructure services in accordance to enterprise vulnerability and patching strategy

· Support the administration of servers, VMware/Hyper-V platforms and domain controllers/LDAP servers

· Participate in the optimization of system performance and system capacity planning

Requirements :

· Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines

· At least three years of relevant IT experience in designing (not mandatory), deploying and managing IT infrastructure systems.

· Required knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2k16/2k19, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, and Azure Cloud

· Knowledge of infrastructure best practices, system technologies, operation processes and system engineering methodologies

· Working knowledge of cybersecurity technologies will be desirable

· Technical certification in cloud and system technologies, such as CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VCP (VMware), VMCE (Veeam), CEH etc. will be advantageous

· Good written and oral communication skills

· Motivated team player with a keen eye for details, but able to work independently as well when required

· Candidate should also be willing to explore new technical domains in order to have a holistic technical view of the digital transformation landscape
